I cup Betty's face in my hands and we lock eyes. I speak to her gently but slightly firm. "Betty. Listen to me" "You don't need to be with your mother" Tears well down my face, I let them fall.
"I know you have pain. I know it's hard. You have me. You have Veronica and Archie."
More tears fall down my face and I can see how much Betty is hurting in her eyes.
"We all need you but more importantly..." I put both of our hands on Betty's bump and she gives me her cute smile when she's sad. It healed my heart enough for my tears to stop falling. "I love you so much Betty and we need you" "I love you juggie, so much"
I lean forward to kiss Betty and then hold her in a tight hug. I stand up and take Betty into her bedroom. I help her into bed, kiss her on the forehead and within 2 minutes she's sound asleep. I leave the room and sigh. I see Veronica sat in the living room so I went to go sit with her.
"How is she?" "Sound asleep" "Is she going to be ok?" "Every day is different but she has us, Archie and we have a lot to do with the baby so that should help distract her a little"
We continue to talk about stuff.
"Do you have any names?" "Well, we went with the theme of love" "That's so cute" "For a boy, Noah and for a girl, Juliet" "They sound perfect jughead, I'm so happy for you"
Betty starts murmuring so I go and see if she's ok.
