1 MONTH LATER...

*Betty's POV*
The clock was ticking louder every second. My legs were getting even weaker as I was rocking the baby back and forth. My arms were clutching her little body; praying for her to stop crying. The piercing noise of her screams were filling the room. I couldn't take it anymore. Tears were falling down my face. My body was weak and my hands were shaking. I placed a tender kiss on her forehead and placed her into the crib. I looked at her before running out of the house. Tears kept falling as the front door slammed behind me. It was early evening so the sky was filled with streaks of light. I kept running towards the hill.

*20 MINUTES LATER*

*Jughead's POV*
I'd just taken my helmet off and locked up my motorcycle. I opened the front door and a wave of ear-piercing cry's filled my ears so I ran upstairs to Juliet's room. Instantly, I took her from the crib and held her close to my chest. She stopped crying as she was in contact with my body. Betty hadn't come in and then I started to worry. "Betty!" I shouted out but there was no response. I reached for a blanket and wrapped it round her. I searched in every room in the house before pulling my phone out to ring her. No answer. I held Juliet a little closer, "don't worry baby, I'll find mommy." I took the keys from the kitchen side and rushed out to the car. As I drove around town looking for her, I began to feel my eyes tear up as I was so worried about her. Then it clicked in my head. The hill. We always went there when we needed some space for the rest of the world.

I drove past Veronica's so I could drop Juliet off with her. I told her that I needed to make sure Betty was ok and as I didn't know what had happened, I didn't want Juliet to see it.

I drove so quick up towards the hill. The sun was close to setting as I got out of the car; my heat pounding. I stood frozen as I saw Betty laying on the floor . I ran over to her side and my heart broke at the sight. She was laying there slightly shaking and there was a box of pills next to her. The box was completely empty. Tears fell from my eyes as I shook her shoulder. "Betty. Betty! Can you hear me?" She just lay there silent. "Betty!" I pulled out my phone and dialled 911. I told them what had happened. As I was waiting for the ambulance to come, I sat stroking her cheek and kept reassuring her. "Please wake up Betty, you can do this. Please don't leave me and Juliet behind. I need you." I began to cry even more. I whispered softly in her ear, "I love you Betty"
