"Will all seniors please come to the auditorium... All seniors to the auditorium." I hear the announcement, and get out of my seat. Mr. Fitton waves bye to the four seniors that are in his math class. Alexis McGinley, who is my BFF, Alexis's boyfriend Nico Rodriguez, my boyfriend Gavin West, and me... Lynn Wooster.
We all look at each other for a second, then leave the room and head to the auditorium. Alexis gives me a look as Gavin and I hold each other's hands. "Do you have to do that in public?"
I return her look as she grabs Nico's hand. "Do you have to do that in public? Besides, you've been saying that since freshman year. It's kind of old." That's how long Gavin and I have been dating. It has been four long, fun, joyful years. He's a pain in the butt sometimes, but we love each other. And when you love someone, well... You would do anything for them. Gavin laughs at our little argument and kisses me on the lips. I've had three and a half years together, and him kissing me still makes me melt.
We reach the auditorium, then head inside to sit down. Alexis sits on my right, Gavin sits on my left, and Nico sits on Alexis's other side. We see all the teachers who taught us in eighth grade. "What the hell is going on?" Nico leans over and whispers to us. I shake my head, just as clueless as all the seniors in the room.
Mr. Casey, my old English teacher says, "Guys... Listen up! This is going to be your last school dance this year. The old eighth grade teachers are planning a dance."
