I woke up to the sun setting and Jughead snoring softly. My phone buzzed and I picked it up to see messages from multiple people, the most recent being Stanley asking if I was coming home soon. I laid there for a minute just thinking. Finally I decided to grab my stuff and have Stanley come get me. He didn't mind and thankfully I avoided waking up Jughead.  When I got home I was exhausted and finished up some homework before I finally went to sleep.

When I tried to wake up Stanley like I always do something was wrong.  He ignored my attempts to wake him and instead of being his usual silly self he got angry at me.

"I'm not going today! Just leave me the hell alone" He said underneath the blankets.

"Do you want to talk-" I tried to comfort him but he dismissed me with more unkind words and I drove myself to school.

Today was gloomy and the sun was no where to be found. It seemed as if the whole town of Riverdale felt tired and sad.  I found Toni in the common area listening to music and sat down next to her.

"Hey Soph" She smiled and greeted me much nicer than I had been greeted this morning. I smiled back and we sat there on our phones.  Finally the bell rang and we went to our classes.  I sadly had algebra, my least favorite but at least Jug and Archie were in here with me. Although none of us spoke to one another I felt like we would be okay. I turned around to say hi to Jughead but his head was down and he seemed like he didn't want to talk.  Okay... so maybe we wouldn't.  The teacher was talking about equations with a lot of letters in it that i didn't understand when the principal knocked on the door.  When he entered we all sat up seeing two people waiting in the hall.  One was Sheriff Keller and the other was a tall black man with an FBI badge.

Principal Weatherbee whispered to the teacher as all of us looked towards each other trying to see who was nervous to indicate who had done something wrong. Everyone had the same look of confusion.

The teacher looked up and straight towards me making eye contact.
"Sophia... please follow Mr. Weatherbee" He sighed and looked to the ground.

Me? What had I done? Did my mom get in trouble? Why was the FBI here? I hesitated as a million questions ran through my mind.  The entire class began whispering at my name being called.

I stood up and turned to see Jughead and Archie ready to get out of their chairs. I looked at them both and shook my head urging them to stay put. Gathering my things I followed principal Weatherbee to the hall and the door to the classroom closed behind me.

"Sophia Shepherd, I am agent Stevens with the FBI. Last night a home several hours south of Riverdale was broken into. Now I know you're probably confused as to what this has to do with you but after authorities looked at the property, evidence and DNA has revealed that Samuel Shepherd had been living there."

I suddenly got light headed and stumbled into the lockers behind me.
"That's impossible sir I'm sorry but my dad passed away last year. I found his body." I quietly tried to make sense of what was happening.

"I'm sorry Ms. Shepherd but what we found is solid evidence. We believe that your father faked his own death and we need you to come with us and answer some questions. Please let me make it clear you are in no trouble here. Unless, however you are involved " The agent seemed genuinely concerned "We already have your mother and brother waiting for you"
