White House
Jackie slipped into one of her new maternity dresses. She was heading upstairs to second floor of the private apartments in the White House. She was viewing the nursery for her coming baby. A year, four days before, she thought she would be a widow as Jack was shot in Dallas. She never thought that a year on, she would expecting his baby.
She headed upstairs to the bedroom above the East bedroom, well Caroline's bedroom.
"Ma'am, this is the coming baby's bedroom. It has been decorated in the Beatrix Potter theme as you asked" Mrs Shaw smiled as Jackie looked at the room.
"Thank you Mrs Shaw. I wanted it done in this theme to avoid disappointment of decorating a colour for the opposite gender" Jackie explained. Mrs Shaw understood.
Jackie soon headed downstairs and slipped into something comfier. Some trousers, (not her jodhpurs as they'd be too high for a six month pregnant woman) and a loose T-shirt.
Soon she heard the door from Stair Landing into Central Hall shut. She ignored it until she heard Jack.
"Jackie?" He called waiting for her to reply. Jackie left her room and went into Jack's. She saw him taking off his tie and throwing it on his bed.
"Jack!" She grinned. He turned around and grinned back. He threw open his arms and embraced her deep in them. He felt her bump.
"How's baby Kennedy doing in there?" Jack asked with a smile. Jackie put her hand on his as he rubbed to stomach. "Oh their doing ok, they were kicking this morning" Jackie blushed.
Jack was pleased. "How is the nursery looking?" Jack asked taking off his shoes. "Oh it's looking great. It has a Beatrix Potter theme like we asked" Jackie rubbed her stomach.
Jack was happy with that too.
"Well you asked for it" he corrected her.
"Well you agreed" Jackie raised an eyebrow and pulled a smile.
Jack laughed.Jack was happy. Because Jackie was carrying a baby that would be his son or daughter, he couldn't be sad at all.
