I woke up to the bustling sound of the D.EO. Doing their normal security checks and stuff. Remembering why I stayed there last night I got out of bed, and sped to the containment cells. When I walked into the room J'onn had beat me there and was talking to the psychologist.
"Supergirl. You didn't tell me you stayed over night. We had to do more security check because, and I quote, "some blond is sleeping in the medical ward". He says looking annoyed but understanding.
"Sorry." I said.
A went to a corner out of the way, so the psychologist could do this thing, but so I could also see everything that happened. The psychologist pulled a chair in front of the glass and put his note pad down on his lap.
"So, Mr. Schott. My name is Dr. Roberts, I'm going to ask you a few questions, Okay?"
Winn didn't say anything.
"It would be in your best interest to participate in this session. Your friends just want to help you." He tried again.
Winn looked up.
"I don't need help." He said.
His voice sounded so much like his fathers.
"It either this of prison. You choose." Dr. Roberts said.
Winn didn't look down this time. He kept his head looking up.
"So, when did you start feeling the way you do? What compelled you to kill that woman?"
"She killed my mother."
"And you wanted revenge?"
Winn just nodded. It hurt me so bad to see my best friend like this.
"And what made you rub the bank?"
"I quit my job. Needed money." Winn said, not a single ounce of regret in his voice.
"You could've stayed at your job, used a mask when you did something bad. Why didn't you?" The doctor asked.
Winn looked taken aback by this question.
"Was it ,maybe, because you couldn't go back? Tell me, that night when you talked to your friend, Kara Danvers, about what's happening to you. Could you have faced her the next day? You knew she wouldn't call the police on you. James didn't know. So why quit? Your father never stole a single dollar in his run." This was turning into less of a psychologically session and more of an interrogation.
"I know that deep down. Under all the hate and baggage you have built up, you still care. You still care your friends. You don't want to see them hurt. You still want to be the quirky guy you were before this happened." Referring to Winn sitting behind the glass, with an open hand.
"I can help you be that man again. Will you let me help you?"
Winn didn't say anything but the expression on his face said it all. He still didn't look like him self, but he was getting there.
( A/N I don't know what to put as the top picture now that relates to the story so I'm just going to put in some of my favourite SG scenes lmao)
