~ Colby's POV ~ I was heading back to the house with Maria. She wants to meet the rest of the group. When I got there I parked in my normal spot and shut the car off and we got out.
"Wow, your guys' place is huge." She said.
"Yeah, it's got 6 or 7 bedrooms." I said. I walked over to her and instinctively grabbed her hand. "You ready?" I asked. She nodded. We walked inside and I saw everyone in the backyard. We walked out back and they were filming something. Corey saw us and they stopped recording.
"So, this is the famous Maria we keep hearing about. I'm Corey, this is my girlfriend Devyn. That's Aaron, Jake and Gabby." He said. She waved to them and they smiled at her. Corey noticed us holding hands and he wiggled his eyebrows and she took her hand away and went to where Sam and Kat were. I walked over to him cause he was close to the pool.
"You got your phone or anything in your pockets?" I asked.
"No, why?" He asked. I pushed him in the pool and walked over to where Maria was and sat beside her.
"So, are you two official?" Sam asked.
"Official?" She asked and looked at me.
"He wants to know if I asked you out, and that would be a no, Sam." I said. He nodded. Kat and her walked inside and it was just me and Sam. "Dude, did you really have to ask that in front of her?" I asked.
"Sorry, I just figured you two liked each other." He said.
"I like her for sure, but I don't know if she likes me or not." I said.
"She's my best girl friend, she tells me everything. She does like you." He said.
"How do you know she didn't just say that to shut you up?" I asked.
"I have been friends with her for so damn long, trust me." He said. I nodded and got up and walked inside.
"Maria?" I asked. She came downstairs laughing with Kat and saw me. I smiled. She smiled back at me. "You ready to head out?" I asked.
"Actually, Kat invited me to stay for a party." She said.
"We're having a party tonight?" I asked.
"For Sam's birthday." Kat said.
"Shit, right." I said.
"You didn't forget did you?" She asked.
"Sorta, but I have the stuff in my trunk." I said. She grabbed my keys and went to my car and got the stuff out of my trunk and shut it and walked upstairs. Maria came over to me.
"So, why did Sam ask if we're together or not?" She asked. I scratched the back of my head and grabbed her hand.
"Come with me." I said. She nodded. We walked upstairs and walked to where we can go up to the roof and we climbed up the ladder. I helped her up and she looked around.
"We're on the roof." She said.
"Yeah, we are." I chuckled. She sat down little ways from where we got up here. I sat beside her. "So, Sam asked me that because he knows I like you." I said. She stayed quiet which scared me. "Maria." I said softly.
"I have to go." She said and got up and climbed down the ladder. I saw her run out of the house. I climbed down the ladder and saw Corey staring at me.
"What happened?" He asked.
"Nothing." I went into my room slamming the door locking it. I laid on my bed and ran my hand through my hair.
