As I was walking over to my locker all I could think of was home. I was so desperately waiting for the bell to ring but three stupid periods were still left.

As I walked to my locker I saw someone leaning against it reading a book. I hope its Kyler, because I don't feel like talking to anybody else, but I recognized him.

I stopped dead in my tracks. Those same beautiful ocean eyes, those soft smooth brown hair I was obsessed with, that same beautiful face.

Class was about to start in 20 minutes and I needed my books. Tears welled in my eyes and I did something I had never planned to do, until this very day.

Kyler

I was really pissed off at Ellie. She had told me to wait for her outside the school for her and give her a ride home because she was not feeling like going in the bus.

Seriously?! And I was surprised at myself for saying yes. It has been half an hour since the home bell rang and she still hasn't come outside.

I was probably the last person to remain in the parking lot. Even calling her had not worked because her cellphone was turned off.

Just as I was about to drive off, I noticed that I had received a text from Ellie.

Ellie: Don't wait for me.

Uggh, I have been waiting for half an hour in the parking lot, and turns out that Ellie has already gone home.

...........

After reaching home, I saw that the lights were off. "Ellie," I called into the darkness. "Ellie," still no answer. Where was she? I was starting to get worried.

Taking two steps at a time, I ran upstairs and knocked on her door. When no answer came, I opened the door and found no one there.

Okay, now I was starting to get really worried. I had searched the whole house and could not find her anywhere.

At the exact same moment i recieved a call from one of my friends,"Hello?"
"Dude ellie is in the hospital she encountered an accident, get to the hospital soon."

I asked for the details of the hospital and after snatching the car keys off the table, I rushed to the  hospital.

"Good morning sir, how may I help you?" the receptionist asked. "Do you have any patient named Ellie Benson?" I asked.

"Umm," the receptionist said typing something in her computer,"yes we have three Ellie Bensons. Do you have a middle name?"

"Yes, Rose. Ellie Rose Benson." "Oh yes, found her. I'm afraid she's in the operation theater right now," the receptionist said ,"in a very critical condition," she added.

After hearing this, my heart almost missed a beat.  "Mind telling me who you are?" As I couldn't think of anything at that time, I blurted out the first thing that came to my mind.

"I'm her boyfriend," I said, mentally slapping myself ,"I'll wait until she is out of danger," I said, and took a seat.

After two hours, the receptionist came to me and told me Ellie was in the ward, although she was unconscious, and that I could see her.

I opened the ward room and found someone who was not the Ellie I knew. All this wait for nothing! After reaching the reception, I told the receptionist that the woman who was in the ward was not someone I knew.

Damn you, Jason.

After calling every hospital, I got to know that Ellie was not in any other hospitals as well. Best were hotels. After phoning six hotels and not finding Ellie there, I was desperate.

She looked like she was depressed lately. I did not know what was bothering her. To be honest, she is a really secretive person.

After calling the last hotel, which was about twenty kilometres away from where I was now, finally I found  Ellie in that hotel.

As I started the car, different kinds if thoughts were swarming in my head. Her mother had left her with me so she could be safe, and I could not disappoint her.

I knew that was not the only reason why I was so worried. I could not lie to myself any longer and knew I was attracted to her kind and caring attitude, although she could sometimes be a pain in the ass.

Narrowly missing a truck coming towards me in the wrong direction, I showed the driver my middle finger and pressed on the gas pedal. What if I was too late?

I knew Ellie was not the suicidal type, but I had to be ready for anything. She did seem depressed lately, as she had not been eating lately and would lock herself in her room when she wouldn't be arguing with me.

Finally reaching the location that the GPS was showing, I literally fell out of the car and ran all the way to the hotel lobby. Out of breath, I asked the receptionist in which room was Ellie staying.

She looked bored out of her mind and was not even answering my questions properly. I made a mental note to talk to the manager after finding Ellie.

''Sorry sir, we are not allowed to give the private information of our guests to strangers,''the receptionist said. She was certainly not being helpful.

''Look, I am her really good friend. We have something to talk about and I happen to forget the room number in which she is staying, so please can you tell me her room number,'' I said in the the most polite tone I could manage.

''O-okay,'' she said, not at all sounding convinced,''she is staying in room number 279. Third floor, right to the fire exit.'' As soon as the words left her mouth, I was already running up the stairs.

After finally standing in front of Ellie's room, I knocked because maybe she was taking a bath. After knocking again and receiving no answer, I decided to just open the door and go inside.

There, I was met with a horrible scene.

Ellie was lying on bed unconscious, with a bottle of pills in her hand.
