as taehyung dropped his phone into his lap to stop the tears that were threatening to fall, he made do with looking at the cloudy sky and the rain that trickled down.

water splashed his glasses and he had to keep reminding himself that they weren't his tears although at this point maybe they were.

it hurt him, more than it should've. it pained him more than the frustrated tugs of his hair was giving him that tried to make his brain think of something, anything else. but his brain played no role, it was in his heart that he was thinking this and it made him realise.

he liked jungkook.

maybe romantically, maybe not. but seeing him kiss jimin made him see red and it took a lot of self restraint to not fire out angry complaints.

seeing the dazed expression on the young boy's face as he took his time to register taehyung's existence was something he wanted to be able to see often, but not from the shoes he was standing in. he wanted to be where jimin was to be the one causing that glassed eyes look and to fire his rosey cheeks.

a thick lump that seemed impenetrable ceased his throat and he was struggling to breathe. he wanted to hear jungkook's voice again and the way it made his heart race whilst calming his nerves. he wanted so much, he realised, but it was kept from his reach.

biting his lip he finally admitted defeat as salty splotches fell down his cheeks.

a broken heart could always be fixed but a weakened one was left to fight on its own.

before he could fall to his knees to curse the world a shout of his name brought him to his senses.

it wasn't the voice he begged to hear but in fact the cause of his problems.

Jimin.
