They walked into History class together, but Mason ran up to Luna and dramatically announced, “Oh my god, Luna! You look hurt! I bet it was that Drummer boy. Come sit by me, love. Nous pouvons établir et de dépouiller.”

Luna then slapped him. “Oh my god! No!! What the heck!? Do you even know what that means? You just said 'Let's make out and strip' !! You are a messed up enfant! Vous êtes un idiot fou qui écoute juste à d'autres personnes, au lieu de trouver des choses pour vous-même. Vous êtes malade! Vous êtes malade! Vous êtes malade!!!!!” Luna then pushed Mason off of her and ran to Ashton.

“He does not know French well.” Was all she said, then Mason came back to her.

“Look, princesse, I only listened to what Liam told me to say. He said that he knew some french. I didn't know what it meant. I am really sorry.” He practically begged for forgiveness.

“ Je ne veux pas vous pardonner, mais parce que je suis une dame française, je le ferai.” Luna signed.

“Um.. and that means?” Mason was baffled.

“Oh, sorry. I don't want to forgive you, but because I am a French lady, I shall.”

Mason smiled and put his arm around Luna's waist and took her outside the room again. Ashton sighed and sat down at his desk next to Luke's. “Oi mate, what's wrong?” Luke asked. Ashton took his bandana off and shoved it in his pocket. “Mason is trying to get Luna to fall in love with him. Well... I'm already getting attracted to her. I don't want her to like that Melbournian..” He mumbled, shoving his face in his arms.

Luke rubbed Ashton's back and said, “It will be ok. Mason Is a pervert. I can't think of a girl who has gone out with him.” Ashton sighed, “But I can. In 8th grade he went out with Rose Costello. That girl from Ireland who was visiting that year. Then in 9th grade, he went out with Laura Wood and then when she cheated on him, he went out with her twin, Laurel Wood. Then that summer he went out with Julia Ford, that American girl. Now this year he's trying to go out with Luna. He likes foreign girls... If Luna falls for him there's no telling when she will fall out of love with him.”

Luke frowned and then stared out of the window. He's never had a girlfriend and has never fallen for someone, so he doesn't know what it's like. Luna then walked in the room with Mason, both flirting. Ashton saw them and covered his face with his bandana. Mason said something in French, then Luna kissed his cheek and walked with him to their desks.

Mr. Harold walked into the classroom, straightening his tie. “Hello, class. I believe that we have a new student! I believe she is French and her name is Luna Odette. Because she is French, she will be helping me teach this lesson today. Today's lesson is Common French Cultures and Stereotypes. Come up here, Luna.”

Luna bounced up to the white board and wrote down a T-chart. One side said Cultures and the other said Stereotypes. Then she turned around and asked, “Okay. What are some stereotypical things you've heard about France and French cultures?” Everyone raised their hand all at once. Everyone except Ashton. He had his head on his desk, not wanting to look up at Luna. She looked at Mason and picked him first. “Well I have been told that the accordion is like, the most popular instrument there and most of the music you hear has an accordion in it.”

Luna then turned around and wrote 'Accordion is most popular instrument' under the stereotypes section. Then she turned around and picked Liam. “I think that there are artists all throughout France and they all wear berets and everything.” Luna wrote that down and then picked several others. “Everyone there eats croissants.” “There are mimes everywhere.” “Everyone there speaks French.” “Everyone there is pale.” She wrote all of those down. Then, she called Ashton. Ashton slowly pulled his head up and mumbled, “everyone there is smart....” Luna blinked, then slowly wrote that on the board.

“Okay... good... Where have you heard or seen these things?” She asked again. “Movies!” “TV Shows!” “Books!” Everyone started yelling out answers. “Arrête! Asseyez-vous!” Luna screamed and smacked the board with a yardstick. Everyone grew silent. Luna then sighed then straightened out her tie and skirt. “Please, do not do that. Us French folk are very proper people and can not tolerate this.” She explained calmly.

“Monsieur Harold, please show the class that video on French Cultures.” She asked, then went to her desk and sat down. The class watched the video, then she and Mr. Harold explained some of the common cultures in France today. Then the bell rang for class to end. Everyone started packing their things. Mason walked up to Luna and hugged her and gave her a kiss on the cheek, then they both walked out of the room again. Ashton growled, threw his things in his bag and chased after them.

“Oooh! You ARE smart!” Mason complimented. “Well, I guess so. Thank you, monsieur. How many siblings do you have?” She replied.

“I have 4. 2 younger sisters and 2 older brothers. How many do you have?”

Luna looked at the ground. “Well I had a twin sister but she died of a disease. It's hereditary and I am carrying it. If I get the side effects and survive it, I would have had amnesia or something like that. Sorry to worry you.” She responded quietly.

“Well then, I will make your future awesome til that day comes, if it comes at all!” He boasted and twirled Luna around in the air. Luna giggled and then when she was put back on the ground, she hugged him.

“Thank you.. Mason... Call me tonight.” She whispered.

About a week later...

Ashton entered Mrs. Imogen's room with a sad look on his face. Prom was soon, but the girl he wants to go with is going with someone else.

“Why Mason? Why HIM?” he mumbled. Michael walked over and sat in Luna's seat. “Mate, I'm really sorry. You might have to find some other girl to go to the prom with.” He said. Ashton jumped out of his chair and ran in the hallway. He caught Mason giving Luna a kiss. “Mason! We've only been together for a day!” She gasped. Ashton dropped his drumsticks on the floor and stared at Luna.

Mason turned around and smirked. “Hey Drummer boy! You look so sad you could cry. Cry like a two-year old. You know she was bound to love me. Build yourself a bridge and get over it. IRWIN.”

Ashton then slammed Mason against the wall and punched him in the jaw. “Dammit, Mason! I'm sick of you! You've always ruined my chances with girls! Just shut up and leave me alone, okay!? Stop messing with my love-life! Stop picking on me! I've had it!!” He screamed.

Luna ran over and separated the two. Mason hugged her and they walked away, Luna giving Ashton an 'I'm sorry' look. Ashton stood there for a while. “I loved you first..” He said under his breath. After what felt like an hour, he finally picked up his drumsticks and went to class. Michael saw how low he looked and knew Ashton was either super pissed off, or so heartbroken he could cry. Ashton slumped in his chair and sadly glanced over at Michael. Michael frowned and saw that Mason and Luna weren't back. Seeing the blood on Ashton's fist, he almost knew what happened.

After class, Ashton told Michael what happened and asked him if he would skip school with him. Michael said yes and they grabbed their stuff and started walking to the secret exit they made. Mason and Luna walked past them, Mason's jaw was bandaged up and had ice taped to it, and Luna had her arms around Mason's. Ashton and Michael both walked to the far back of the school and pushed some bricks aside that led to a secret exit.

After they made their way out, they both ran to their secret oak tree. Michael and Ashton threw their bags at the base of the tree, then climbed up and sat on the strongest branch. Ashton sighed. Michael looked at the grass. “I don't get it.” Ashton mumbled. Michael looked at him, now listening to his mate. “I don't get why he has to ruin my love life. Every girl I've had a crush on or fallen for, he's stolen. It's so unfair.” He argued. Michael, trying to help, said, “One day you will find her. I promise.”

Ashton quickly objected, “I'm positive that Luna is the one! But I'm sure she's in love with that Melbournian. Ugh.. He sickens me. I hate it. I hate him.” Michael just sat on the branch and looked at the plants around him. Ashton sighed and jumped off the branch. He just stared into the trees, hoping for things to get better.
