~~About Two Weeks Later~~

“Oh, my phone's ringing! I bet it's Ashton!” Luna exclaimed as she ran to her desk to pick up and answer her buzzing phone.

“Hello?”

“Hey, Luna It's Ash! How has your therapy been?”

“It's been great! Every time I look at Oliver, I don't see Mason anymore and I've had less nightmares of him and my Anxiety has lessened.”

“That's great, love! How are you feeling? What are you up to?”

“*giggles* I'm alright. I was just organizing my closet. How are you feeling and what are YOU up to?”

“Haha, I'm just laying on my bed staring at the ceiling thinking of you.”

“Oh Ashton, you're a sweetheart. Oh! My mother is calling me, call you later hon! Love you!”

“Aww, love you too, Luna. Bye.”

Luna hung up her phone and ran downstairs to her mum. “Yeah, mother?” She asked, noticing the sad expressions on her parents' faces. “Well... we need to tell you something...”

Ashton lay on the bed thinking of what to do on such a boring evening. “Prom is next Friday, I suppose I should ask Luna at some point.” He told himself and stood up. “Alright, I will buy her a bouquet of red roses and wear something really nice, take her out on a date, then ask her! Simple, right?” He talked to himself some more, “I mean, I love her and am comfortable talking about anything and everything so this should be easy. Just say, Luna I love you, please come to prom with me?”
After about four hours, Luna called Ashton.
“Hey, babe!” Ashton exclaimed as he answered the phone.

“Hi Ash!”

“Luna, before anything else, Can you come on a date with me tomorrow night?”

“Sure! Where to, what type of dress?”

“I was planning to go to Nando's and then go to a movie, so something nice, but not too nice.”

“Okay, sounds good, love! I need to tell you something, but I'm gonna wait til later.”

“Okay, Luna. I have something really important to ask you on the date.”

“Okay! Can't wait!”

“Alright, well I guess I will go, I don't want to keep you up any later, it's pretty late at night.”

“Okay, Ash. I love you tons!”

“Love you more, Luna! Bye.”

The two hung up their phones and went to sleep. The next day on their date:

After ordering their food, Luna and Ashton just stared lovingly at each other. Ashton soon snapped out of their love trance and remembered what he planned to do. He pulled out a bouquet of roses and asked, “Luna, I love you a lot, and I was wondering if you would come to Prom with me next Friday?” He asked, blushing heavily. Luna gasped. “I'm supposed to leave that day...” She thought. “Oh Ashton... I really didn't want to tell you now... but...” “Here is your food, Mr. Irwin and Ms. Odette.” The chef interrupted and placed their food on the table and said, “Enjoy!”

Luna glanced at her phone which was beside her and read a text from her mum saying: “I noticed that the school prom is next Friday, Your father and I will let you attend it and then we will leave the following Monday. Love you, Paige!” Luna sighed with relief and said, “Nevermind, Ash! I will go with you! I love you, too!” Then began eating her lobster and salad. Ashton became so happy that he got out of his chair, walked over to Luna and gave her a huge kiss.
Ashton and Luna blushed and Ashton quickly sat back down in his seat. They ate, went to go see a movie, then drove to Ashton's house to stay the night. They both kicked off their shoes and laid on Ashton's bed. “Ashton, I need to tell you something...” Luna said nervously. “Yes, Luna?” “Well.... My dad's sister passed away and.... her funeral is in Paris.... and mum got a job call there and we would make so much more money if we moved back, so mum and dad rebought our old house and we are leaving the Monday after Prom....” She slowly explained. “You'll still be able to contact me though, won't you?” Ashton asked, his throat tightening up.
“Well, no... The phones from Paris won't work or call anyone here, that's why I had to get a new phone from here to call you... mail takes about two weeks to send and reply, so if you sent me a letter right now, I would get it a week later, reply, but you won't get mine for another week. Video call might work, but our time zone differences... oh... plus I don't have a laptop. It broke yesterday and mum won't buy me one til my birthday next year...” Luna sadly replied, trying to hold back tears.
Ashton stared at Luna and grew extremely sad. “So this long-distance relationship... it won't work out. We will have to break up after Prom...” Luna added. Ashton stood up and walked over to his window and stared out of it. “Ashton.. I'm so sorry...” Luna apologized and walked over to Ashton. He had tears in his eyes, but he was trying hard not to cry. “Luna... you will have to give me your address before you leave....” Was all he said.

Luna wrapped her arms around Ashton's torso and rested her head on his shoulder. She heard a gasp and looked at Ashton who was now crying. “Ashton... please don't cry..” She asked, turned Ashton around and wiped the tears off of his cheeks and hugged him. “C'mon. Come here.” She led him to his bed and they both laid down beside each other. Ashton cried harder, which made Luna break down crying. Ashton stopped crying immediately. He held Luna against him and tried to stop her from crying. Makeup streamed down her cheeks and the tears kept coming.
“When we both fall asleep underneath the same sky.. to the beat of our hearts at the same time, so close but so far away..” Ashton sang. Luna's crying nearly stopped and she listened to Ashton sing “Beside You”. Ashton looked deep into Luna's eyes and gave her a quick kiss, then let her clean her face up. When she came out of the bathroom without any makeup on, Ashton gasped, “Luna! Without makeup you're gorgeous! Yes makeup makes girls look beautiful, but even without makeup, you're beautiful, on the inside and out!” Luna faintly smiled and laid down and cuddled into Ashton. They both fell asleep like that and slept comfortably.

The next day...

“Alright Luna, today we aren't going to be talking about Mason. Since you are moving and have a family illness that killed your sister, causes migraines, strokes, amnesia, etc, I am going to tell you how to prevent getting the illness. I know you have a boyfriend who loves you dearly and you love him too, and you have lots of friends and best friends here and you will be moving back to France.” Therapist Trish explained and examined the papers at her desk.
“Yes... correct.” Luna agreed.
“Because of your friends and boyfriend, you will most likely get sad and wish you could forget them. If you do, because of your disease, you most likely WILL forget them. And it most likely will be permanent. So, since you already have depression and an anxiety disorder, I am prescribing you with two kinds of antidepressant medicines that should help prevent these thoughts from appearing.” Therapist Trish explained.
“Okay. Thank you, Trish for everything.” Luna said and stood up.
“No problem, sweetheart. Now remember, try not to think of them when you move and take the medicine as prescribed, do not overdose or abuse these pills. The side effects include thoughts and actions of suicide.” Trish warned, hugged Luna, and led her outside to her awaiting parents holding a bag from the nearby Pharmacy.
When Luna got home, she put the pills in the “Medicine Box” they were taking with them to France. “Mum, I won't be able to talk to Ashton... What am I going to do? I am in love with him!” Luna asked her mother. She sighed and replied, “Oh Luna... I'm sure you will meet him another day! He's in a popular band, remember? They may come to France during a tour or something! Don't worry!”

NOTE: THIS DISEASE IS A MADE UP DISEASE, BUT HAS BEEN THOUGHRALY THOUGHT OUT.

All of the effects to Luna's hereditary disease: more likely to get strokes, comas, amnesia, short-term-memory loss, get into shock, become an alcoholic or drug addict, easier to form Anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar, stress disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), eating disorders, antisocial personality disorder, Dyslexia, insomnia, Nightmare disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD), Panic disorder, Paranoid Personality Disorder, Post Trauma Stress Disorder (PTSD), Sleep paralysis, Sleep Terror Disorder, and Sleepwalking Disorder.

Luna's twin sister died from this disease. She was diagnosed with OCD, ADHD, insomnia and Sleepwalking Disorder but died from a stroke. It is a dominant trait and about 3 out of 4 children that are born from someone with this disease, HAVE the disease, and the other one is just a carrier. This is why Luna's mother is not having more children. She carries the disease inside of her and doesn't want any more of her children to suffer with it. Women are more prone to get this disease.
This disease is more of a mental disease, but it still isn't fun to have. Luna, her mother, mother's sister, and Grandmother have it. Luna has only been diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder and Depression, her mother has been diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder, mild depression, insomnia, OCPD, and Paranoid Personality Disorder, Luna's Aunt has been diagnosed with ADD, antisocial personality disorder, severe depression and OCPD, and Luna's grandmother has been diagnosed with moderate depression, Stress Disorder, Insomnia, Nightmare Disorder, OCD and Dyslexia.
Not much fun, is it? But what will happen when Luna goes overseas to her Aunt Sara's funeral?
