Jewel

"Can we talk?"

Zion sighed deeply and didn't even look at me. It was a week after Rose and I spoke. Zion and I haven't been talking. And I'm sick and tired of it.

"Can you at least look at me Zion?" I spat with my throat shaking.

He turned to me and crossed his arms. I looked at the unamusement on his face and I felt the tears already well up in my eyes.

"What?" He asked.

"We need to figure this out Zion. I can't keep leaving like this- we don't even talk-"

"Then leave! I'm tired of this shit-"

"Is that what you WANT?! To... to leave??" I spat and he turned around covering his face.

"Bro I don't know Jewel. I'm not gonna lie to you I'm fucking miserable-"

Tears started streaming down my face and I nodded. I wiped them quickly and he sighed at me.

"So I guess the divorce is going through then," I mumbled and walked away.

"Jewel!" He called but I slammed the door behind me running down the pavement.

I got in the car and instantly drove off. I called Rose and she instantly picked up.

Rose: hey love what's up

Me: I-I'm going over. Can i crash there?

Rose: woah what happened?

Me: I can't Rose. I can't save this marriage. I just need to breathe-

Rose: hey it's fine oh my god ok. I'll order some pizza and get ice cream like the old days. Should I kick Nick out for the night?

Me: no you don't have to-

Rose: NICK GO TO ZION'S HOUSE IM HAVING A SLEEPOVER WITH JEWEL!!! Too late

Me: bitch I said no-

Rose: see you in a few.

Justin

I walked in the house and took off my headphones. I saw dad sitting on the couch with a beer. I glared at it and sighed going to him. I snatched it from him and he instantly got up.

"Give me the fucking bottle-"

"You're not for real right now! You promised you weren't going to do this!" I yelled and he stared at me hard.

"Justin give me the bottle-"

"No! Where's mom?!" I spat and he turned around groaning loudly.

"She left. We're getting a divorce so get used to only seeing one of us at a time," he spat cruelly.

I dropped the bottle and I felt my chest tighten. I knew they threatened it but I never knew they were serious.
