Chapter 6

(Chapter 6)

They began their long journey in fear. They still had to get out of the wolves territory. With Eric leading in front and Ava behind, they made their way out of the black land. "Hmm, home" Ava said to Eric. "This is where I grew up. To me, this is home." Eric looked around and took in the amazing sight. "Come on, we need to keep going." He watched the majestic tiger lead the way, her ears pricking up at every sound. "What is it like?" Eric asked. "What do you mean? to be a tiger? A pain to be honest." Ava had her suspicions about Eric. He looked like a wealthy man, not a normal guy. They had travelled almost half of their long journey. Which they had stopped and got fresh water from pools that Ava new was safe. Eric had learned so much about the forest from Ava. But Eric was finding it harder to stay away from her, like he could not stand to be away from her. He was getting feelings for Ava. She was also getting feeling's for him too. Ava felt like she could tell him anything in the world and that he would keep it for the rest of his life. The first night they were well and truly deep in the forest. No wolf had ever ventured that deep in to the enchanted forest in centuries. They worked together to build a fire and get some food. Ava suggested that she should go and hunt since she was the one who could do it a lot quicker and faster than Eric. Eric agreed and within half an hour they were tucking in to a nice piece of rabbit that Ava had hunted and Eric had cooked. When the fire had almost burned out, they both looked at the stars and identified all the constellations they could see. Ava had realised that they shared something special that they both liked and enjoyed. The next morning was a beautiful setting. The sun came up shining gold's and reds of all shades. They both woke up at the same time but had no time to waste, if they ever wanted to reach the second pool in time, they would have to get going as soon as they could. After all, it was the second day. They had to make as much progress as they could. Eric took the map out of his belt and saw they were not far from the witch. He shouted to Ava, "We are about to go into a bit of a dark place, I don't like the look of it." Indeed they had. It was a place that looked haunted, or ruled by different types of plant species.
