The next day they both awoke to find they had slept in. Both of them packed their things and looked at the map. They did not have far to travel. They had to hurry, that day was there last day, their last chance to find the pool. The map showed that if they were quick enough, it would only take them most of the day to travel. Then that would leave them all night to drink from the pool. At about midday they stopped for a drink at a small lake. Finally they had reached the end of the plant forest and were walking in a patch of clearing, a small meadow. Wild horses were grazing, but when they saw Ava they ran away out of fear, and small flower heads were singing in the light breeze and warm sunlight. Ava asked, "When I am human again, will I go back to civilization with you?" "That's up to you, I'd like you to, and I mean you'll be a princess." Eric proudly said. She thought about it and actually wanted to try the civilized life. Suddenly, Eric stopped and asked if it was smoke he could see. They took out the map and he saw that the smoke was the witches' camp. They both sprinted towards the smoke. Ava looked just to make sure it was the woman. Eric stepped out first. When the old lady saw him she said, "I've been expecting you, where is the young girl?" Ava proudly walked out and asked where the second pool was. She led them through an identical cave to the one before and showed them the second, again identical, pool. "All you have to do is drink three times to return human." Ava was ready. She needed this. She took three sips and the mystical golden smoke surrounded her paws and slowly climbed her body. When it had all cleared, stood in the place of the tiger was the beautiful human Ava. She turned to Eric and gave him a euphoric hug. She then turned to the lady and realised she was not a witch, but a sweet little old lady. "I can't thank you enough." "Oh, to see young lovers happy is all the payment I can desire," the old lady replied sweetly with a sigh.
