Chapter six

Skip about five weeks

Riker's pov
Halloween is in three days. I have my costume and so does everyone else.
Isis won't tell me, or show me, what her costume is.
My uncle's party is in less then two months, I haven't decided if I should ask Isis. Isis and I have become good friends. she's really nice. She admitted to what I saw that night and that she didn't really fall off her bed. I still wonder about her back though...
Today is Friday and we don't have school until November because someone messed something up in science. A gas filled the school and they don't know if it's dangerous so until they find out, there's no school.
I'm in my room with my brothers playing a video game. we only have three controllers because the fourth broke and so I'm not playing right now.
Rydel and Ratliff are watching a movie in the living room.
Our door opens. I look over to see Isis. She's wearing blue skinny jeans and one of my shirts. I let her borrow it one day and she wears it now. I don't mind if she keeps it.
"Hey." Isis says.
"Hey." I say. "nice shirt."
"Thanks, a cute guy let me borrow it. Im gonna give it back later but I sorta want to keep it." She smiles.
"I'm cute huh?" I grin. she pushes my arm.
"Awe just kiss already. we won't watch... maybe." Ross pauses the game and they all look at us. Isis looks away.
"Kiss!" Rocky says. I throw a pillow at him.
"Wanna play truth or dare?" Ryland asks.
"Sure." Rocky turns off the game. Ross says he'll play.
"Riker? Isis? you playing?" Ross asks.
"Sure." I say. Isis nods.
"Ok, I'll go first." Rocky says. he, ross, and Ryland exchange looks. "Riker, truth or dare."
"Hm....". "Say dare." someone whispers. "dare?"
"I dare you to kiss Isis." Rocky says. Not again! Isis quickly looks at him then me.
"I- uh. um... well, uh. do I have to?" I ask.
"Yeah, does he have to?" Isis asks.
"Yes!"
Isis and I look at each other. She shrugs her shoulders and shuts her eyes tight. I close my eyes and lean closer. the door opens.

Rydel's POV
The movie Ratliff and I were watching ends. Ratliff wants to go hang out with my brothers so I follow him. Isis is with them, too.
when Ratliff opens the door Isis jumps off of Riker's bed and looks at us. "oh thank goodness. let's go to your room." Isis grabs my arm and pulls me into my room. she looks out the door then closes it.
"Isis, what's going on?" I ask.
"Riker was about to kiss me." she says.
"WHAT!?" I yell
"Sshhhh."
"Sorry. he kissed you?" I ask.
"Almost. He almost kissed me." She corrects me.
"Why?"
"Rocky dared him to. You and Ratliff walked in right before he actually could."
My mom walks in. "hey Isis, your mom says she has to go somewhere tonight and was leaving you home. would you like to stay here with us tonight?"
"Uh, sure. thank you." Isis says.
"No problem. would you two like some cookies? I haven't told the boys yet." mom asks. Isis and I both nod and then go to the kitchen where cookies are piled on a plate.
"Quick, get as many as you can before the boys come." I say.
"Cookies!" a guy yells. Isis and I look at each other then pick up as many cookies as possible. Ross runs in. we quickly run up to my room, bumping into the others.
I lock the door and we put the cookies on my bed. Then all of a sudden there's banging on the door.
"Give us some cookies! you took like half... maybe more!" Rocky yells.
"Put them in here." I whisper. I open a drawer on my night stand. we put the cookies, except for two, into the drawer and I lock it shut.
"Go unlock the door." I whisper. Isis goes to my door and unlocks it. nothing happens.
Isis turns the knob and as soon as the door opens the boys rush in. Riker, who is in front, lifts Isis and pins her against the wall. she's got one hand over her nose and the cookie in her other hand.

Isis' POV
"Go unlock the door." Rydel whispers. I get up and walk to the and unlock it. Nothing happens so I decide to open the door.
As soon as the doors barely cracked, it's pushed open fast. the door hits my face then I'm lifted and pinned against the wall by Riker. I cover my nose with my empty hand.
"Where are the cookies?" Riker asks.
"We ate them." Rydel says. I drop the cookie that Rydel had me keep and cover my other hand.
I moan and slide my back down the wall untill I'm sitting. Riker steps back and looks down at me. he picks up the cookie I dropped. "why would you drop such a good cookie?"
I push him away with my foot and moan.
"Dude, there's no way they ate all those cookies already. There's no crumbs on the bed or floor." Ratliff says. Riker takes a bite out of the cookie and walks over to Rydel.
"Where are they then?" Ryland blurts.
"Yeah Rydel, where are they?" Riker asks.
"Guys..." I take one of my hands off my nose, it's got blood on it. None of them look at me.
"Search the room." Rocky says. The boys start looking around.
"You'll never find them." Rydel says. None of them bother with looking in the nightstand drawers. They wouldn't be able to open the drawer though because Rydel locked it.
"Guys." I say louder. Ross glances at me but doesn't realize the blood on my hand.
"Dang, where are the cookies Rydel?" Ross asks.
"Not telling." Rydel grins.
"Isis? Will you tell us where they are?" Riker asks without looking at me.
"I don't know, Will you tell me if my nose is broken?"
Riker looks at me confused then walks over to me. He crouches down and looks at my bloody hand. I'm still covering my nose with my other hand.
"Someone, go get mom and/or dad. quick." Riker says. Ross runs out of the room with Ryland. Rydel leaves and comes back with a wet towel. she wipes the blood off my hands and let's me hold it on my nose.
Stormie and Mark come in.
"What happened?" Stormie kneels down next to Riker.
"I got hit by the door." I say. Stormie helps me stand and takes me to the bathroom. it's still bleeding but not as much. I wipe away as much blood as possible.
When it complete stops bleeding Mark looks at my nose. He doesn't think it's broken but Stormie says I should be seen by a doctor anyways.
"Is my mom already gone?" I ask as I get in the car with Stormie and Rydel.
"Yeah." She left before Ross and Ryland came to get us.
"Ok." I say. Stormie parks and we all go inside the doctor/hospital place.
I'm soon called back, they come with.
The doctor looks at my nose. I hate doctors, they stick people with needles and say it won't hurt. BUT IT DOES FREAKING HURT. IT HURTS ALOT. I didn't get stuck by a needle and so I'm happy.
"You're not her mother are you?" The doctor asks Stormie.
"No. she's friends with my kids;" Stormie gestures to Rydel.
"Ok. What happened that caused this?" He asks.
"She got hit by a door." Rydel says.
"Why?" he asks.
"Rydel's mom made cookies and we took a bunch to her room before her brother are them all. I was opening the door to let them in. the door got pushed hard and hit me." I explain.
"Cookies? ok." he chuckles a little. "well, you nose is not broken, just swollen." he says. "she just needs to be carefully and it the swelling should go down in about a week."
. . .
Well we eventually checked out of there and go back to their house. Rydel and I look around for the guys, we find them in her room. They look like they failed at something.

Riker's POV
"You didn't find the cookies did you?" Rydel asks. we all look up at them.
"Nope. how's your nose?" Rocky asks.
"It's fine. it hurts... but it's fine." she looks at me and makes a pouty face. "you ate the cookie I dropped."
"Not completely." I pick up the half eaten cookie from on the nightstand. "I set it down when you asked if your nose was broken."
She take sit and sits next to me. "then I'll eat it."
"Not if I eat it first." I try to take it but she moves it out of my reach by leaning away. she takes a bite out of the cookie.
"You're gonna eat something he bit off of?" Ryland asks.
"It's a good cookie." Isis says. she eats the cookie then laughs at me. she lays down all the way. I sit on her. Rydel starts giggling.
"What's so worth the giggles?" Isis pushes me and I fall into the floor.
"You two." Ross says in a duh tones as he stands up next to Rydel.
"You should like date or something. It would be adorable." Rydel squeals.
"Whatever." I stand up. Isis sits up on the bed. I sit on her lap.
"You big lug. get up." Isis says then starts laughing.
"Why are you laughing?" Rocky asks.
"Lug. one definition is an uncouth, aggressive man." she laughs. "Another is a person's ear."
"Hey! I'm not aggressive... or an ear. I have ears but I'm not one." I say.
"Whatever. just get off me you aggressive ear man." she pushes me off and stands. I land on the floor again.
"Rydel!" Ryland whines. "where are the cookies?"
Rydel sighs. "Boys, stand over there." she point to a corner of the room. we all do as she says, except Isis because she's not a boy. Rydel opens a drawer of her nightstand.
She divides the cookies between everyone, including herself and Isis.
We eat the cookies then go downstairs.
Mom and dad are in the living room. two sleeping bags are later out on the floor. "what are those for."
"Sleeping in duh." Isis teases.
"Isis and Rydel are gonna sleep in the living room together. it makes it fair so Isis isn't on the floor and Rydel on a bed." dad says.
"Sleepover!" Rydel squeals.
"What if we want to sleep in the living room with them, too?" Ross asks.
"Well, who all wants to?" mom asks. everyone but me says they do, I didn't say anything. they all look at me.
"Sure." I say.
"Ok. help us lay out sleeping bags, pillows, and blankets then. were gonna have to move the furniture a little to make room." Dad stands. we all stand and help do what he said.
My mom helped us make mini pizzas and we ate them. then we lay down and look for movies on Netflix. We watch Romeo and Juliet, for Ross.
Isis is laying to my right, Rydel's to her right, and Ross is to my left. Ratliff is laying above us with his head by Rydel and feet by Ross.
Rocky is already asleep on the big part of the couch and Ryland is curled up on the reclining chair. the chair is a lot comfier than you might be thinking.
Romeo and Juliet ends. We find Avatar and watch that.
Isis rolls on her side, facing me, and curls up inside her sleeping bag. she opens her eyes and looks at me. I roll on my side to face her and poke her forehead.
She sticks her tongue out at me. I smile and put my finger on her tongue. she makes a disgusted face and stop sticky her tongue out.
We both look back at the movie.

Isis' POV
Riker falls asleep, so did Ross and Ryland. Rydel, Ratliff, and I are the only ones awake.
The Avatar movie ends. Rydel looks for another movie. I see Cinderfella and ask if we could watch it. (A/N: yes, Cinderfella.)
My eyes become heavy. I notice that Ratliff is asleep and Rudels almost asleep. I try to stay awake because I love this movie and it's barely halfway through, but a few minutes later I'm asleep.

Riker's POV
I wake up when something touches me. I open my eyes and look down at Isis, who is curled up into my side.
I notice that the movie is paused and there's a guy in a red and black tux. he's standing at the top of stairs.
I find the remote under Rydel's side. I take it and un pause the movie.
The guy goes down the stairs to the beat of the music playing. then he asks this girl in a white dress and a red sash to dance.
The way they dance is cool.
I look down at Isis and wrap my arms around her. I put my head on hers and fall asleep.

Hello people
The movie "Cinderfella" is a wonderful movie. And because I love older movies, Cinderfella was made in 1960.
I do say that you should watch it, I love it.
Anyways, I hope you liked this chapter.
