Chapter 8 - Punctuality

I know I've been asleep😴 for a long time (T^T) Sorry if it took a long time before I've published another chapter. Anyway I can't believe so many people actually read my story.*cries* I'm so touched. ^^ Thank you so much guys.

Ayumi's P.O.V.

Ha! I saw Diane charged at me so I started running away from her but I ran straight to the gate that leads underground. As I passed the gate I felt like I pass a very thin wall of red lights.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the gates are only visible to strains so normal people who lives near the forest won't be able to see it.

Diane's P.O.V.

I closed my eyes when I pass through the Red Gates, as we all call it. When I opened my eyes again I saw a pathway, in the middle of a forest though its trees where not as tall as the ones in the Kyojin's forest. There were rails of red roses on both sides of the pathway. It was beautiful since the roses were blooming.

By the way theres a powerful and invisible sheild that is regulated by one of our clansmen in the Red Crown, it prevents Scepter from locating us and we will be able to use our abilities freely.

I was so mesmerize I didn't notice that Ayumi came up to me! She wrapped her arm around my neck and drilled her fist on my head.

"Ow!" I said, what is wrong with this girl?! Suddenly she stops and lets go of me and looks away, making me curious.

"Hey" she pauses for a bit, "are you jealous of me because Yata-san seems to be more comfortable with me?"

I was so schocked, I couldn't say a word! I looked down "Um - I - I guess so." *sigh* " Your using your insight aren't you?" I asked her.

She laughed for a bit before winking at me, her eyes were no longer violet but they were black as agate. Her eye color changes when she uses her ability, sometimes her personality shifts too.

"Kids today are so outgoing" Haruto-san said with a teasing smile while we were walking on the trail.

I blushed. "It's not like that, Sensei" I averted my gaze and looked away from him. I still felt his gaze on me but I pretended not to know, his worried again.

Soon we were nearly at the castle where the Red Queen and her clansmen lives and this is also our base.

"Hey, is it just me or is the Queen being more - um - distant lately." Ayumi said with nervousness as if she wasn't supposed to say that.

Hmmm, come to think of it the Queen has been spending more time alone in the massive rose garden or in her room. She must be having a lot of thoughts but when we see her hanging around others, she still gives the best smiles she has and she looks very cheerful.
