Lia’s POV
~ First day of senior year ~
“Lia, are you up yet?” My mother calls from the other side of the door of my room.
“Hmm yes” I groan.
I should have already left my bed but it’s still so warm and comfortable. I check one more chapter on wattpad and then I finally leave my bed.
When I go downstairs, after I showered and got ready, I look at the clock and see that I’m already pretty late. I quickly eat some breakfast, grab my stuff and go to Mary’s. Luckily I’m not too late at her place.
“Maarryyyyy”
“Liiaaaa”
“How are you?”
“I thought I was okay but now I realize that this week the top 50 probably will be released and now I just can’t think about anything else.”
“I know right, it feels ages ago since we submitted but it’s just about 3 weeks ago.”
After me and Mary submitted in the competition we didn’t do much exiting stuff the rest of the summer break. We went swimming a few times, walked around in Amsterdam, played some music together, watched movie and did a PLL marathon. A week after we submitted Kristy came back and soon after her Suze and Diana came home as well. This weekend we went shopping to buy some new clothes for our last year. We all want to look good for our last year at this school, well hopefully our last year. We all have to graduate but I don’t worry about that, I think we will all make it. We all have pretty good grades.
“Have you already checked the website if they have posted anything yet?” I ask her.
“Nope, still nothing”
“This contest is killing me, seriously...”
“Jup, me to, maybe it’s good that we’re at school now so that we will be distracted for at least a little bit.”
“I guess so yes, school is at least good for something then hahaha.”
We both laugh and talk a little bit more about nothing until we arrive at school. When we arrive we see that the other girls are already there waiting for us at their lockers.
“Why are you so late?” Kristy asks us.
“We’re still in time you know, but it’s my fault, my bed was so comfortable this morning.” I reply.
“Oh I know the feeling girl, heard anything about the contest yet?” Diana asks Mary and me.
“Nope, nothing since their tweet last week where they said they’re still busy judging everything.” Mary says to them.
“It’s so exiting aahh, but I’m sure you two will make the top 50, both of your songs are so good!” Suze says to us.
“Thanks girl, we just have to wait and wait and wait..” I say.
“And nonstop refreshing their site.” Mary adds.
Rrriiinngg
“Time to go to class, see you in the break!” Suze says and we all go to our classes.
2 hours later
“Anything exiting happened in your classes?” Diana asks us.
“Nahh, all boring for me.” Kristy replies.
