Luke trudged down the long body filled hallway, with his shoulders slumped, headphones in, and quick feet. He absolutely hated school, but most of all he hated everyone in it. Well not everyone. He had his 3 best mates and that was about it. There was Michael, who changed his hair color more than Luke changed clothes. Ashton, who treated them like his children. Calum, who was Michael's partner in crime. Calum and Michael always found ways to dare Luke into doing the stupidest shit imaginable.

His friends were all Luke had in this hell hole. Luke and his group were often referred to as 'scary' 'rejects' 'bad boys'. Luke never liked the people who he went to school with. He had been friends with the 3 boys for as long as he remembered, so he never really felt the need to make new friends because they were all he needed.

Most of the people at school were either stuck up or just completely judgemental. He didn't feel the need to talk to any of them if they were just going to judge him by what he wore or what music he listened too. But Luke hated one group in particularly more than the rest. The popular group. And it was a mutual feeling. The populars hated luke and his friends, they were the ones who made up the name rejects. The girls often thought he was attractive but would never in a million years even try to have a civil conversation, because they thought he was a nobody. The guys who consisted of jocks always picked fights with Luke because of an incident that happened sophomore year, that incident being Luke sleeping with the quarterbacks sister. That caused the quarterback who's name is Blake, to hate Luke and get his whole army to hate him as well. And by picking fight he means physically picking fights, causing Luke to be suspended 9 times last year, because he was being "too violent" and "started the fight". Which was not true at all, he often would finish them. Luke has only lost a fight twice and he was quit proud to be honest.

Luke and his mates were now in junior year and had been dealing with this shit for a year.

As Luke made it to his class he found the farthest seat in the back and sat down. He was usually the first person in class because he wouldn't stop to talk to his friends in the hallway like everyone else did. He waited a little bit and another person came into the class room. It was a girl. A girl that Luke didn't hate. I know he said he hated everyone but he just didn't know her enough to hate her. He thought she was quite pretty if he was being honest. Her name was Mia. Mia Alison Woods. Luke knew she was apart of the popular group but she never once participated in any of their evil comments or acts. She often kept away from them. She was dating Blake which meant that she was off limits for Luke to even talk too. He had basically done enough to the boy by sleeping with his sister and kicking his ass in fights. He always likes to watch her though. Not in a creepy way but in a more admirable way. He found her interesting.

As she walked in she scanned the room looking for a seat because the room was still empty. She then locked her eyes on the first seat in the front, opposite side from Luke. As she set her books down on the desk she looked up for a moment and locked eyes with Luke. He never in his life looked down so fucking fast. He was embarrassed that she had caught him practically drooling over her putting her books down.

Seconds later a group of loud girls who his assumed to be her friends because they always sat near Mia, blocking his view from Mia, walked in but didn't sit by her today. Next a boy who Luke knew as of Hayes walked in and sat by her. He was slightly confused because this had been the first time he had actually watched everyone walk in and take a seat. He didn't even know Mia hung out with Hayes. Although he didn't really know Mia. Mia probably didn't even know who he was at all, if Luke was being honest.

Periods had past and it was finally lunch. Luke had to admit he was actually excited to go to lunch today, but only because he had only got to talk to his friends once today and that was in science. He met up with them in the hallway and they walked together but were not saying anything to Luke but they all had a daring smirk on their faces. This surprised him because his mates were anything but quiet. The last time they had all been quiet was when they attended Ashton's funeral for his goldfish. Which may Luke add was very hilarious. Watching Ashton who liked to refer to himself  as a "badass" cry over a fish made Luke stifle a laugh the whole entire experience.

They stayed quiet the whole way to the cafeteria, which was making Luke nervous. They got their food and sat down at a table near the back. Luke was making sure he hadA good view of Mia. All of a sudden, Ashton, Michael, and Calum bursted into a fit of loud laughter. Luke gave them a weird look. Calum then reached for his bag and pulled out something that Luke never wanted any one, but himself to see. His journal. He's very personal journal. The journal that luke not only wrote down, slurs of his thought, but the one that he also wrote songs in.

Calum put it down in the center of the table. "You left this at my house last night, I kinda read it, and then kinda read it to Ashton, who kinda told Michael about it, and then we kinda all read it together. Sorry." Calum stated as slowly as he could. Calum could basically see the anger go though looks face.

Luke slapped his hands over it as soon as possible. "How much did you fucking read?" Calum looked over to Michael before saying "All of it."
"Ohhh my gaahhhhh!" Luke let out a loud groan. Calum laughed and proceeded to say, "Who knew you had a thing for Miss Mia." Luke let out another groan, "I don'tttt!!!"
"Right right, that's why you wrote about her hair, and the way she smiles when she sees that it's a free day in class, or how she walks, and how nice you think her legs are, or how yo-"
"Okay okay, I get it, she just interests me okay?" "Sure she does." Michael laughed.

Luke was ready to lunge at them. He was beyond embarrassed right now. They knew Luke liked to sing and write music, but they didn't need to know about his little obsession with watching Mia. He didn't even like her he just wanted to know about her.

They had got off the topic and began to talk about Michael burning his ass while trying to light his fart on fire. Luke gaze had shifted to Mia, not to many tables ahead of him. She looked happy. She was sitting next to Blake and he was whispering things in her ear, and each time she let out a giggle. Luke couldn't help but roll his eyes. This is what Blake had always done. He would pretend to love a girl and claim that he wanted to be with them forever, until he got in their pants, then he would dump them. Luke had witnessed Blake doing this first hand. Back in middle school Blake was friends with Luke, Michael, Ashton, and Calum. After middle school he became a cocky, arrogant, asshat of a human being.

He was kinda waiting for the moment when Mia would notice this. She was actually a quiet girl and that's what interested Luke, how could such a quiet and self reserved girl be around obnoxious assholes all day long. Then again he didn't know Mia. Mia Woods was just one of the many girls Luke  would never get to know.

Luke was snapped out of his thoughts by Michael throwing fries at his face. He stopped staring at her and decided to actually talk to his friends.

The rest of the day was filled with Luke sneaking glances at Mia and Luke tying to trip Michael in the hallway.
