Chapter 41

(Lucy POV)

I woke up to someone snoring, I looked over and I saw that it was Natsu and he was covered in white scales, in my drowsy and sleepy state of mine, it took me a while to remember that white scales for a fire dragon were dead or shed scales. When my mind finally caught up with that little fact I realized that I lost the bet. I didn't want to move from that spot at the moment, I was still sore from my fight with Sting.

'I wonder if he is okay, my dragon is more violent and protective of her position than most dragons are,' I thought to myself as I watched the fire dragon slayer. His salmon hair was covered in a white dust, most likely what was left of his horns, hundreds of white scales both covered him and surrounded him. I noticed that one of his arms were stretched out and I followed the arm to find that it was wrapped around my back, I also saw that there was a pile of white scales covering my waist, probably was his tail. I laid my head down again to go back to sleep when I started to hear voices coming in my direction, I closed my eyes and pretend to be asleep so I could listen to their conversation, but I fell asleep.

(Lahar POV)

"Is she awake yet," I asked the Fairy Tail guild master. 

"As far as I know she is still asleep," he told me. Yajima looked at Makarov and sighed.

"What trouble have you gotten yourself into now, Maky," Yajima asked him.

"As far as I know it is not the girl we need to worry about it is the father," Makarov told him.

"What do you mean by that," I asked him, " I saw what she did to Sting Eucliffe, that is something to worry about and what about Natsu Dragneel, if he is still in that state that he was in we need to worry about the damage that he has caused."

"Well, for the issue with Natsu, he lost those physical traits sometime last night, but the mental traits I am not so sure about,"  Makarov told me. 

"What?!" I asked, "How do you know."

"Look for yourself," he told me, pointing at a door. Yajima and I entered the room. I looked over at one of the beds and I saw Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia. Natsu was lacking the draconic body parts that he had before and was littered with white scales.

"You see, for reasons we don't know yet," Makarov started to tell us, "Natsu's 'dragon' as Lucy put it, is very protective of Lucy, to the point where he would threaten us."

"What about Lucy Heartfilia, she mentioned during the games that she has the power to control the dragon slayers," Yajima asked him.

"Well, I am sure that you of the magic council already know of Lucy's identity," Makarov told us, "She is a very powerful individual, even without her father, as she calls him."

"She calls Acnologia her father," I asked him.

"Yes she does, when she disappeared all those years ago after her mother's death, she went to live with Acnologia," he told us.

"Then why isn't she with Acnologia, now," Yajima asked.

"She was separated after the Tenrou Island incident, she was stuck on Tenrou Island like the rest of us,  actual Natsu was the first one to make contact with her," he explained.

"Why didn't you tell the Magic Council the moment you found her," I asked him, even though I already knew the truth.

"They would probably have tried take her and then she would have done something to protect herself and alert Acnologia to attack the Council," Makarov told me, Natsu started to shift around in the bed.

"Can you tell us what happened between her and Sting," I asked him, then I heard the door open.

"Simple, her dragon was answering a challenge," I heard someone say, I turned around to see a red haired man enter the room. 

"Who are you," Yajima asked.

"My name is Igneel, but I am also known as the Fire Dragon King, and Natsu's Father," the man told us.

"You're a dragon," I asked him shocked.

"Yes, I am," he told us.

(Yajima POV)

"So dragons can take human form," I asked him, I ignored the fact that he just admitted that he was a large dragon that could tear me to shreds.

"Yes, how do you think that we hide from our children for so long," a feminine voice told me, I looked to see a white haired woman who was followed by a armored man with black hair. 

"They were looking for huge dragons not humans," the armored man told me. I looked over at the boy and the girl and saw that Natsu was stirring. 

(Natsu POV)

I was starting to hear voices, I felt my arm being around someone, I pulled them closer and tried to go back to sleep. Then I heard the voices again, louder this time, I nuzzled my head into the neck of the person I was holding trying to block out the voices. Then I heard them again, could they please stop talking I am trying to sleep, I felt a growl of agreement from my dragon, wait we can hear them, I will have to ask Luce about this later. Wait Luce, I opened my eyes a little bit and saw who I was holding, I saw strands of gold.  

(MINE TREASURE) I heard the dragon growl, seriously is this normal. I looked over more and I saw white skin, (MINE) I heard the dragon growl, I am just going to ignore that. I looked more, then I moved my head more and saw her face, her beautiful- Wait, wait, wait, what the hell am I thinking, what is so special about her, why am I think this way. (BECAUSE SHE IS-) before the dragon could finish I heard the voices again I looked over and saw Gramps, Igneel, Metalicana, Grandeeney, Lahar, and 8 island guy were here.

"What are you two doing here," I sleepily asked Lahar and 8 Island guy.

"Your awake," Lahar asked me.

"Yeah, what do you want," I rudely asked him, I am tired I don't want to deal with the Magic Council right now.

"What happened to you during the games," he asked me. I started to set up but Luce latched on to me and moved her head into my chest. 

"I don't know, I was using my true  dragon force and then Luce got," I stop talking I started to remember what happened.

"Hey," black, "You," black, "Okay," I think I heard Lahar asked me 

"Sleep." I heard then everything went black.
