"What do you mean, they vanished?" Gwen stared at him in complete disbelief. She wasn't the only one, but she was the only one, who could bring out some words. The others looks went from Are you fucking kidding me? (Derriere) to Did you hit your head when you fell to hell? (Berlion)

Chandler let out a chuckle. "You got to be kidding me. Are you sure your senses didn't play a little prank on you?" Quinn just regarded the old man with an annoyed gaze and shook his head.

"I know, what I saw." He made a grimace. "The villages were still intact, but no trace of the villagers."

Gwen still regarded him in disbelief. But that shit was so absurd, he could have never made that up, not in seven hells. "How do three damn villages with together around nine hundred souls just disappear into bum fuck nowhere?"

Cusack cleared his throat. "Princess, language-"

"Fuck you, I talk however the fuck it pleases me." she responded without looking at the general. She was still completely fixed on Quinn. "Were there any signs of... y'know, magic?" Gwen deliberately overlooked the annoyed death glares she got now, but hell, nobody gave a fuck when Meliodas or Zeldris were talking like that, for some reason, it was only a problem, when she did it. And that majorly pissed her off.

"Well-" Meliodas started, an amused smirk on his face. Apparently Gwen made it quite difficult for her brothers, to remain serious. At least one accomplishment today. "We are still not completely sure, but everything points to... The goddess clan. Surprise, surprise."

"You mean they massacred three entire villages?" Merascula pressed out between her teeth.

"Those damn... The people..." Fraudrin looked like he was about to explode. Which was not very unlikely, because he was actually capable of it.

"You've got to be kidding me... Not even the archangels are capable of something like that!" Calmadios roared in disbelief.

"Oh yeah? You ever fought one of that guys?" Berlion threw in.

"Of course I have-!"

"No, you haven't." Merascula denied.

Within seconds everyone was arguing with everyone about anything, it was a big mess. A mess, Meliodas got sick off very quickly.

"ENOUGH." That sole thundered word made the whole room shake. Everybody shut up immediately at his voice. Gwens heart skipped a beat, so much did he remind her of their father right now. A bit too much.

Meliodas sighed. "Quit behaving like a few fucking children and take this shit a little bit more seriously, will ya?" The pissed tone he spoke in did not allow any fooling around nor any objections. Yep, if anyone was fit to be the next demon king, it was this asshole of an older brother.

"Quinn, you weren't done yet, weren't you?" he noted with a glance over at Quinn.

"Not really." he replied. "As I said, the villages themselves were empty. But they had visible remnants of celestial magic. Could only have been an arc. If I should judge, even an omega arc."

"Dead?" Derriere asked. Even without Monspiet explaining, Gwen knew what she meant. Everyone looked at Quinn.

"Now that's the funny part." He made a grimace. "Cause the answer is no."

Gwens muscles slackened as a weird mix of fear and anger started to seethe inside her stomach. "You don't mean they actually..."

"Took three entire villages as hostages? I'm afraid I do." he ended her sentence. Silence spread across the room. But nothing could shut up the wrath and anger seething inside the demons.
