For Hinata, the morning after wasn't anywhere near as bad as the night before. She didn't have the constant Onyx haired distraction in front of her to clog her judgement, so she turned to the only other person available.
"T-Thank you," She mumbled as a sweet looking girl placed a cup of tea in front of her and her guest, bowed and walked off. Sakura happily sipped on the tea, indulging in the fruity taste as she always did whenever visiting Hinata in the Hyuga compound.
Her father had been informed about the incident from the night before and even agreed to the whole mission ordeal - Though, he was much more hesitant and his approval relied strongly on a certain younger Hyuga Hinata may or may not have made sit with them to gain her father's favour.
"So, what's up?" The pink haired Kinochi asked, finally placing down the cup of tea in front of her and leaning over the table to be all ears to the girl before her. Sakura had often come to the Hyuga compound without formality, barging in, finding Hinata's room and happily making herself at home while asking the Hyuga for advice about her oh-so complicated life. But this time, it was Hinata's turn.
"A-Ah," She began, "A-Are there different... T-T-Types of l-love...?"
The second the words were ushered from her mouth, two manicured hands slammed down on the table, sending the Hyuga girl bouncing backwards slightly.
"Of course! Hina, don't tell me you've gotten over your puppy crush?!"
"P-Puppy crush?" She asked, lip trembling in question as she tilted her head to the side.
Sakura leaned back and waved her and dismissively with a laugh, "Ye, silly! On Naruto?"
She... She knew!? How?! Hinata had spent the better part of her childhood fawning over the boy. Something about his sun like personality drew her in. Maybe it was the unshakeable way he always tried, when she failed and gave up. The boy had never been one to turn someone down or forget a promise even the smallest ones.
Confident, determined, strong willed, brave...
Happy.
Naruto was everything she wanted to be. Being around him made her heart clench with anticipation and her face burn with embarrassment. Never had she contemplated that it was a crush. She looked at him as a high figure, sure. The pedestal she placed him in compared to no other, but - She didn't feel like this.
Where Naruto made her heart clench with nerves, Sasuke would speed up her heart rate and calm it with a simple smirk that played on his lips. Where Naruto made her face burn red from shock of the outlandish things he'd do, Sasuke made her blood warm up with a pleasant tingle throughout her body whenever he spoke a word.
It was different. She'd been shy, yes. But, not once did she recall having a fearful moment or feeling when she was around Sasuke. She'd never felt the need to impress him like she did with Naruto.
Hinata uttered such words to Sakura - No names mentioned, of course. But she did describe the kiss, the sweet touches and the way he's agreed to do something he didn't want to with her just because she asked.
"That's a pretty open and shut case, Hina-chan. You're in love!" Sakura belted, jumping over the table to hug her best friend, and pinning her to the other end of the room with such force, it may have actually hurt.
Hinata laughed lightly at her friend's antics, but still looked down in confusion. "L-Like Puppy love...?"
"Nooooo," Sakura laughed, letting her go and placing a finger in the air to demonstrate her obviously unquestionable knowledge. "Romantic Love, sexual love!" She sang, giggling to herself as a light blush danced on her cheeks.
"And if he feels the same, you can run off into the sunset!" The pink haired girl joked. Hinata burst into a flame of red. Her entire body went warm at the idea of Sasuke feeling the same as she did. The Uchiha boy was beyond popular in the leaf village - even more so outside the village boarders for his looks and... Other reasons. It was insane to think such a stoic man would ever feel this warmth in his chest, or butterflies in his belly.
"Hina-chan~?"
The Hyuga girl's attention snapped up towards the pink haired girl as she dragged herself out of her mind after having made it up. She offered her bubbly friend a warm smile and lifted her cup to her lips to take a final sip.
Sakura copied her motion and got up at the same time,
"Kakashi said the mission was basically just baby sitting right? Let's pack some comfortable clothes, help you charm the hell out of whatever lucky nin gets to spend time with you." Sakura winked happily and ran over to the Hyuga's wardrobe, pulling out everything that showed enough skin to make a sailor blush.
"Now... Strip."
