The CEO of Seoul IT Solutions sat in his swivel chair that was fit for the Prime Minister of South Korea, a finger absent mindedly running along his lips, as he read over the company's weekly progress report.
"Sir, your eldest son is on his way. It's a code orange." His secretary nervously informed him through a receiver on his massive pine desk. Code orange - his son must have looked agitated or high to his poor secretary. Either way, Nam Jookyu was prone to stupid choices and violence.
The stoic woman who was standing in front of his massive pine desk moments before had moved to a secret side room that housed the CEO's personal security network monitors upon hearing of the CEO's son's impending arrival. She knew the drill. Ever since the young man started showing erratic behavior due to his increasing drug abuse, the woman was tasked to monitor any exchange that happened between the two men and call for back up when necessary. She watched the various feeds from the CEO's office like a hawk. The first sign of aggression from Nam Jookyu and she'd press the panic button to summon the guards before proceeding .
The young man reached over the desk to grab at his father's collar angrily. Press the button! Jookyu slid over the table and started punching the old man to a pulp. Press the button! The young man grabbed something slender off the table and plunged it into the older man's neck. The CEO collapsed behind his table out of the cameras' field of vision. Press the f***ing panic button!!!
The reliable secretary-body guard was rendered frozen in shock. She shook in her seat in front of all the security screens, hazel eyes wide open. She was used to protecting the Nam family from the various dangers that they ran into but no one told her they would one day kill each other. Protocol and emotions clashed violently inside her. She failed miserably at the most crucial moment of her career.
On one of the screens, a view of the left side of CEO Nam's desk was shown. Just a few inches from one of its ornate pine legs, a creeping dark liquid spread its self on the cream tile floor. Nam Jookyu stood behind the desk, not caring for the spreading blood near him and continued to bark his anger at his father.
Yoonsoo woke in a panic as he felt strong hands shaking his shoulders vigorously. With wild eyes and beads of sweat adorning his forehead and neck, he scrambled to his feet. He put up fists that were ready to be thrown into a punch to defend himself as soon as his feet landed on solid ground.
"Seriously!? Hyung! Wake up!!!" Yoongi screamed at his bunk mate, a little scared that the older member was having another one of his episodes and was possibly... finally cracking from what ever he was hiding. He has never been more thankful for Jin's absence than at that moment. Yoongi felt that Jin wouldn't have been as understanding of Yoonsoo's secrets than he was. He was afraid that tonight's little event would damage the new member's good standing with the group if anyone saw.
Yoonsoo blinked, visibly pulling himself out of his waking nightmare. "S... sorry." He relaxed his stance and looked worriedly at Yoongi who was kneeling on the bed."It's okay. It's okay - what every it is. You kept whimpering no in your sleep. You were thrashing around too. Must have been a nasty nightmare - I had to wake you up." Yoongi stated calmly. He subtly looked for cues of aggression as he tried to gauge just how lucid Yoonsoo was.
"Thanks. You're right. It was just a nightmare." Yoonsoo whispered as he looked at his bare feet - too embarrassed to meet Yoongi's gaze. Just how many more embarrassing things would happen in Min Yoongi's presence, Yoonsoo wanted to know. At this rate Min Yoongi would have to bee sworn into secrecy for their sake just in case Yoonsoo lets something important slip.
"Want warm... milk? To... relax you a bit?" Yoongi offered kindly as he started crawling to the edge of the bed to fetch the supposed calming drink.
"Thanks but I'm okay. You go ahead and go back to sleep Yoongi-ah. I need to..." One of Yoonsoo's hands vaguely gestured in the air while his eyes darted to the wall behind their bed's headboard. His chest was still heavy from the nightmare - he needed to breathe. Giving up on talking, Yoonsoo quickly turned on his heel and quietly stalked out of the room.
One foot still on the bed and another resting unsurely on the floor, Yoongi blinked at the space his bunk mate had occupied just seconds ago.//
