Laila POV
Sunday
A day to myself it shall be. A day for me and only me.
I sighed as I got back in the house and closed the door. I walked upstairs to my room and got dressed in a sundress and sandals. I walked into the bathroom and put my makeup on, leaving my hair in its curly state. I grabbed my purse and phone and headed towards to the door. I reached down in my purse and grabbed my keys. I unlocked my car door and got in.
I pulled up to the mall and got out. As soon as I got out, I got a call from NJ. I pressed decline and walked into the mall. I walked straight to bath and body works and grabbed some lotions, perfumes, shower gel, and a few bath bombs.
After going to a few stores, I decided to go back home. I grabbed my phone out of my purse and dialed NJ's number.
NJ- Laila
Me- Yes?
NJ- Um... Nalani wanted to talk but she fell asleep.
Me- Oh ok- we'll I'll call you tomorrow
NJ- Lai.. I want you to come home
Me- go tell your Instagram girlfriend that NJ.
NJ- lai. I'm serious. I want you to come home to be my wife again, I'm tired of living in the house without you baby. I told you that I'm sorry for not being there. I shouldn't leave you alone.
Me- NJ, I have work in the morning. Take them to daycare on Monday please.
NJ- Alright
I hung up the phone and sighed.
Why me?
I went upstairs and placed my bags on the bed. I scoped the house looking for Katie. I didn't see her so I figured she was out with friends. I kicked off my shoes and decided to watch a movie on lifetime. I climbed in my bed and turned on the tv.
Hours later, I heard the front door open. I heard a clicking noice coming up the stairs and noticed it was Katie.
"What's up sis? What you do
today?"
She asked holding a bag that looked like it came from a restaurant.
"Good, ummm I went to the mall and watched some movies. What did you do?"
"I had a date actually, and I brought you some food back."
She handed me the bag and sat down on the bed. She looked at me.
I smiled then laughed.
"So, How was the date?"
"Good. He was sweet, very nice."
"What is he?"
"A doctor actually."
"And..."
"He's dark skin with green eyes, curly hair, tall, beautiful smile, charming, and he has one daughter, her mom left her to him before moving somewhere across the world."
"That's cool you seem interested."
"Very. Speaking of interest, Laila, when you gonna give that boy another chance? He's been blowing up my phone non-Stop."
I sighed and shook my head.
"I don't know, Katie."
"He really loves you, Lai. You gotta give him another chance."
"I'll think about it"
"Alright. Well you wanna go somewhere with me?"
"Sure."
I hopped out of bed and put my sandals on. I grabbed my purse and put my food in the fridge. I met Katie at her range and got in.
