Me: Hello
King: Aye Bruh... Get up
Me: Huh
King: Cmon... Laila... get up man come get Zay bro
Me: What's wrong
King: Man, She told me what happened.. I left and then next thing you know I come back for Zay and lisha laying on the ground.
Me: king calm down
King: Naw man... the ambulance on its way.. come get Zay
Me: Alright I'm on my way.
I got out of bed and made my way to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and headed downstairs. I grabbed my keys and headed out the door.
I pulled up to Alisha's house and saw an ambulance in front of the house. I got out of the car and quickly walked inside. Zay was crying for his mom to wake up while king was talking to the medical people. I grabbed Zay and held him in my arms while he cried.
"Momma gonna be ok baby." I cried.
King walked over to me while, they wheeled Alisha to the ambulance.
"They don't know what's wrong. They think she lost the baby. Ima go ummm with her to the hospital. Here, just lock up when y'all leave. Investigate for me.. and I'll call you when I found out something."
I nodded.
King left and I held Zay in my arms.
"Mama gonna be ok. You gonna come with Mimi And we'll go have some fun with Lani and Noel. Ok?"
He nodded.
We walked into his room and grabbed some clothes from the drawer and placed it inside his backpack.
Meanwhile....
Katie POV
I woke up from Noel's cried and sighed. I looked at the clock and sighed, it read 6:15 Am.
"Laillaaaaaa!!!!shut that child upppp!!!" I yelled.
There was no answer so I got out of bed and walked into lailas room. Nalani was laying in my moms bed sleeping peacefully while Noel screamed in his crib.
I picked him up and walked downstairs. Laila keys were gone and her car wasn't outside . I sighed and fixed him a bottle.
"Your mom's going to pay Noel."
I gave Noel his bottle and walked upstairs with him.
I turned my lamp on and sat in my bed holding him. I heard the door knob turn and keys unlock.
I heard footsteps and began to become relieved once I saw Laila and Xzavier at my door.
"I'm so sorry Katie... I had to get Zay from king. Alisha passed out."
I nodded and looked concerned.
"She ok?"
Laila shrugged.
"So Zay gonna be staying with me for a while."
"Ok."
"You mad at me?"
"Yes damn you and NJ need to hurry that friendly shit up... I'm ready for you to go... I love you but me and my men need privacy from you and your kids."
Laila nodded and turned out the door.
King POV
I paced across the floor while I heard beeping noises from the rooms.
The doctor stopped me in my tracks and looked at me.
"Sir, Have a seat. You're scaring other patients."
"Doc I don't give a fuck. Why you out here worrying about me, you need to be worrying about my wife and the baby."
The doctor walked away and I pulled out my phone. I checked the time and put my phone back in my pocket.
"Umm Alisha Meadows."
I looked up and followed the lady out of the waiting area.
"So she's ok... she's still not awake tho, but the baby girl didn't make it sir. I'm sorry for your lost."
"Can I see her?" I asked holding back my tears.
"Yes sir of course."
She took me to Alisha's room and opened the door. I walked over to Alisha's bed and broke down crying.
"Aye bro wake up. I know.. I know you.. did what you did but man you gotta come through lisha. I lost one of my baby girls, I can't lose you too. I can't."
The machine buzzed and my heart dropped. I ran out of the room calling the doctors name.
"Doc please my wife."
The doctor and nurses ran in her room while I tried to run in too.
"Sir please stay out of the room, we're trying to help."
I began crying and punching the walls, begging for the machine to beat regularly again.
The doctors came out and looked at me.
"We're sorry sir, we did everything we could." The doctor said taking off her gloves.
I walked into the room and cried by her bed.
"Sir, were going to have to take her we'll talk to you later."
