Kelsea pov
I put my work clothes on and slipped off my slides.
"Siahhh!" I yelled.
"Yes baby?" He asked walking out of the bathroom into the bedroom.
"Have you seen my black shoes?"
Josiah rubbed his forehead and sighed.
"Uhh, check in the mud room baby."
I nodded and headed to the mud room.
I smiled once I found my shoes in a cubby and slid them on my feet. Jaylin was sitting at the bar eating pancakes, while Bree was standing behind her. I kissed jaylin's cheek and grabbed my purse off the counter.
"Josiah baby, I'm about to leave."
He came jogging downstairs with Jabari in his arms. He kissed my lips then kissed Bree on her forehead.
"Bye baby have a good day at work and Bree be good in school today. I'll see you later princess. I love y'all."
"I love you too!" We said in unison.
I grabbed my keys off the hook and walked out into the garage. Breeze pressed the button making the garage go up. She got Into the backseat of my Nisan and buckled up. I made my way to my side and pressed the button for the engine to start up. I backed out of the driveway and headed to Bree's school.
Josiah pov
I placed Jabari's car seat in the car and strapped Jaylin in her car seat. I got into my side and headed towards their daycare.
Shortly, I pulled up to 'Precious Angels' and got the kids out. I walked into the building which smelled like Clorox and breakfast food. I walked into Jabari's classroom first. His teacher was sitting in a rocking chair holding a little girl. Her face lit up and she walked over to me. She grabbed his bag and placed it in his assigned crib.
"Hey Mr. Josiah. Hey big sister, Jaylin."
Jaylin shyly waved as she stood behind me. I put Jabari's car seat down and picked Jaylin up. I waved bye to Jabari's teacher and headed next door to jaylin's class. Her classmates were sitting down watching a cartoon that was showing on tv.
"Good morning Jaylin." The young teacher smiled.
"Morning." Jaylin smiled.
I gave Jaylin a kiss on the cheek and she reached for her teacher.
"We're watching the lion king. Do you wanna watch too, or eat breakfast?"
"Eat breakfast."
Her teacher nodded as I laughed at her. I waved goodbye and walked back to my car. Since I had work in a couple of hours, I made my way to the store for groceries.
I pulled up to Walmart and got out of the car. I grabbed a buggy and headed towards the fruit section. I stopped by the apples and sent a message to Kelsea.
Me: Baby what do we need from the store?
Kels: Eggs, milk, fruit(apples, grapes, bananas, oranges, mangoes) chicken about three packs, chicken wings for jaylin's party, candy for the bags, chips the assorted kind, juice boxes, umm diapers for Jabari, formula, canned green beans, corn, and pees. Baby bananas, cereal, baby pees, and baby green beans, Hawaiian bread, feminine products,( not the maxi ones), and toilet paper. If I need more I'll go after work.
Me: Dang alright baby, I'm at the store now.
I put my phone in my pocket and prepared myself for this long list. I grabbed green and red apples and placed them In separate bags. I grabbed cuties, and bananas and put them in the basket. This was going to be a long trip.
I finished the food and was finally at my last destination, the baby section. I grabbed the baby diapers and sighed.
"Hi." A lady said smiling.
"Hey." I said not trying to start a conversation.
"You look familiar."
I laughed and shook my head.
"I'm serious, are you a football player?"
"No ma'am, I own a dealership though."
She nodded.
"Josiah Hawthorne, you own, the Jaylin cars."
"Yes I do." I smiled nodding my head.
"Interesting."
"Yea. Well I have to go," I said walking to the register.
"Wait you really don't remember me."
I turned back and shook my head.
"The office situation..."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
She nodded and walked back to her basket.
