Surprise
Jessica's POV
I sauntered in my room texting Daniel with my music low in the background. I wanted to tell him the good news, but it's not news for me to tell. I know he would probably text Chris as soon as I tell him so I have to keep it a secret.
She looked so happy once she got over her scare. She'll make an amazing mom and I know their baby is going to be such a cutie. He or she is going to be super spoiled by every one of us. I went over and took a picture of her pregnancy test's so I could send it to Daniel once Melody gives me the green light.
I wonder if Melody made it to Chris' yet? I sent her a text about 20 minutes ago, but she hasn't replied and I told her to send me a message once she arrived. I rolled my eyes. She's probably busy with Chris. I honestly don't find it surprising that she is pregnant. I'm more shocked that she hasn't gotten pregnant prior. They have more sex than Daniel and I do - and that's a lot.
I sighed and thought about texting Chris just to make sure she's there. I get super paranoid about these things. I've also been having an uneasy feeling since Melody left. 10:08 PM. My clock read. Melody left thirty minutes ago, so she should be with Chris by now. "Fuck it." I said loudly and dialed Chris' number. It rang three times before he answered.
"Hello?" He answered. He doesn't sound indifferent... Has Melody told him?
"Hey Chris." I greeted him. "Is Melody there?" I asked.
"No?" He asked confused. "Isn't she sleeping over at yours?" He asked me, but I stayed silent. She should have been over there by now, we don't live that far apart, it's about a 5-10 minute drive, 15 at the most. "Is she not with you?" Chris asked, sounding confused. My heart rate began increasing. Ok Jess, do not freak out, she probably stopped by somewhere to get something. "Hello? Jessica! Where's Melody?" Chris exclaimed.
"She was supposed to be there by now." I said confused. "She probably stopped by somewhere." I mumbled.
"What?" Chris asked confused. "She's coming over here?" He asked, sounding happy.
"But she won't reply." I kept mumbling. "She's probably driving..." I went on.
"Jessica you're confusing me." Chris stated impatiently. I sighed, snapping out of it.
"She was here, she was going to sleep over, but then we found out-" I slapped my mouth with my hand, realizing I was about to give away the surprise.
"Found out what?" Chris asked after I went quiet.
"Something that Melody wants to tell you. Anyways, Melody left half an hour ago and she hasn't responded to my texts. I thought she'd be at your house by now, but she isn't. She probably stopped by somewhere." I rambled out the last piece for both of our benefit's.
"I'll call her right now, thanks Jess." He said hurriedly and clicked. I groaned and threw myself on the bed letting out a huff of breath. I stared at my phone the whole time waiting for someone's call. I grumbled impatiently. I'm just being paranoid right? She's fine. Melody is almost at Chris'. I'm just being dumb.
"Tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock." I repeated until my phone started vibrating again. I answered quickly. "Yea?" I didn't even look at the caller ID.
"She's not answering, I called several times and I called Dave too to see if she's home, but she isn't." Chris said panicky. That's when I started freaking out. My heart began to go on overload.
"What the fuck!" I yelled lowly out of frustration. "Where did she go?" I asked to no one in particular. "I'm heading out to go look for her. I have a bad feeling." I mumbled the last part making him growl.
