I am sitting across Alpha Danny inside his office. Luna Zeny handed me a cold compress for my cheek.

I tried to recollect everything that had happened back at the school and at home. What could I have possibly done to receive a slap and what trouble are they pertaining to?

"Lyn, I hate to do this and I hope you understand. The Lunar Eclipse's Beta asked me to lower your rank to the pack's omega
for not following the protocols and endangering Nate's life." Alpha Danny pitifully told me.

"What?! Pack's omega? But why?! To be honest, I have no idea what did I do wrong. I'm totally oblivious to what I have done." I nervously replied.

"Do you not know who is Nate?" he asked.

Then I realized Nate called the beta his uncle. But I still don't know why would he slap me. I know he's just being protective over his nephew but to inflict pain? Like hello, I actually saved his nephew.

"He's the Beta's nephew." I said out of nowhere.

"Not really." That response from Alpha Danny made me more confused. "What is Nate's full name?" he asked.

"Nathan... Oh Moon Goddess, it can't be." I am starting to get in denial.

"Oh yes, it can be. He's Nathan Wilson. Son of Pierce Wilson, the Lunar Eclipse's pack Alpha." revealed Alpha Danny.

That very moment, I knew I fucked up. Whatever reasoning I have to defend myself is all gone.

It doesn't matter, I save the kid. What matters is I disobeyed the protocol. And since Nate is the an Alpha's son, I have committed a big offense.

"There's nothing I can do, right?" I still asked even if I already knew what his answer will be.

"I am so sorry, Lyn." he replied.

"Don't be. It's my fault, Alpha."

Being a pack omega means I have to stay at the pack house and work for my rank to be promoted.

This only means that this is the end of my teaching career. I worked so hard just to be a teacher. It's my childhood dream. All gone in just a snap.

I am so sad at the same time furious. I am blaming the rouges for attacking, the guards for not preventing the rouges from attacking the school and of course myself for not following the protocols.

I don't even know how to relay the news to my mom and dad. They will be disheartened.

I was just finished packing my things when I heard my dad's car engine outside. Since I am an omega now. I can't stay in our house. I have to stay at the pack house and work my rank up there. Damn, I'm gonna miss my bed.

As I descend the stairs, I saw my mom rushing to me, crying.

Just great someone broke the news to them already.

"Its alright, mom. I've got this."

"No, you don't. My poor baby. Honey, we should do something. Maybe talk to the Alpha?" said my mom while crying.

"You know we can't do that honey. It's the law. And besides, our daughter is a grown up lady now. She can handle it. I know it." said my ever optimistic dad to calm my mother.

"Dad's right. Its not like they're gonna starve me and bully me there. I just have to work here and there.

It might sound detention from highschool but no. We were just making it sound like that to prevent my mom from having a heart attack.

Everybody knows what omegas do, they clean, they cook, they do laundry, they make every hard work not obly in the pack house but also in the pack village especially when someone asks for help, simple as that? No. They have to do it without anyone knowing they're doing it. It's like you're invisible.

And your meals? Just lunch and dinner which you can have after everyone is done eating.

It may sound like you're like a maid. But with our pack house big and not that many omegas, I doubt we could make everyday perfect.
