Poem #15

But what if

Yeah, we met
Accidentally met.
One night at a bar
It was good so far.

We talked yet we're strangers
Laughed like we knew each other
Danced like it's December
Like we were together.

This must be the drink
Nah, it's only beer
But what am I feeling?
Spark's a thing, I'm thinkin'

You're holding my hand
I can't do nothing, but glance
I want to hug you so bad
Probably kiss you, that's mad.

Lights and groove
Oh, drinks setting the mood
I'm getting drunk for good
Your stares, your smile, I understood.

Firmly, I said no
Even if I don't want to see you go
But what If I said yes?
Would you be at your best?

Wasn't this a test?
So we won't make a mess?
And leave ourselves stressed?

But what If I stayed?
Would there be regrets?
