When everything fails

Love's overwhelming, love's great
Love from a someone whom you've just met
Just a few months ago or so
For whatever reasons, only Cupid knows.

You started the friendship, yet he ended it
It bothered you most, you couldn't get it
You two still meet each other though
For whatever reasons, only Cupid knows.

You've wondered if he likes you
But haven't had the courage to say
He stares at you like he likes you too
But all the stares ended for that day.

You've wondered if you're really friends
Or just the normal acquaintances
'Cause the gestures that he shows to you
Makes you unbelievably tensed.

And that one fateful day came
When the feelings for him were all still the same
You've asked him
"I like you, do you like me too?"
But to your dismay, he said
"I don't know, should I need to feel the same way like you do?"

So you've kept a distance
To heal your broken heart
Even if you feel like
Your world's falling apart.

I bet you're wondering why
How that feelings existed like a fly
You can't afford to ask him anymore
For whatever reasons, that hopeful heart of yours adores.
