45 minutes have passed, and my dad should arrive soon. I brought all my stuff downstairs and waited with Mrs. Welsh. "It'll be alright, hon." Mrs. Welsh said as she laid a reassuring hand on my knee. "Are you sure? What if he doesn't like me? What if he doesn't want me?" I quickly asked. "He will love you. He was so excited to hear that he had a daughter." She smiled. Just then, the door opens. "This is it." I whispered as I looked up. Nothing could prepare me for what I saw. All 5 members of Black Veil Brides were standing in front of me. "No. Fucking. Way." I muttered as I repeatedly pinched myself. Ashley looked at me and smiled. "Hello, daughter." He said. My eyes widened, and a huge grin appeared on my face. I squealed and ran into Mrs. Welsh's office. I jumped on the couch and grabbed a cushion before screaming into it. Ash appeared in the doorway. "You alright?" He asked with a worried expression. I looked up and tugged on my shirt. "Just fangirling." I shyly said. "Ohhhh, I'm glad that you're a fan, I thought you would be one of those beliebers or directioners." He shuddered. "Ewwwww, no, I only listen to rock and metal, as well as their sub-genres, I'd rather not listen to squeaky little boys." I replied. "Thank god, Are you ready to meet the guys?" He asked. "As ready as I'll ever be, Don't be surprised if I pass out, though. I fangirl hard." I laughed. He motioned me to come with him. "Guys, meet Kate. Kate, you know who they are." Ash said. "KATE!" CC yelled, running towards me. "CC!" I yelled as we collided and fell on the floor. "Alright, who gave CC a monster?" I asked as I poked CC in the side. "Andy?" I raised an eyebrow at him. He gave me a 'sorry' look. I just laughed at him, causing him to give the cutest puppy dog face I've ever seen. "CC, would ya please get off me? I kinda need to breathe, ya man-child" I asked. "NEVER!" CC yelled. "CC, get off my daughter." Ash said. "Fineeee." CC whined as he rolled off of me. "Thanks." I said as I got up. "You ready to go, love?" Ash asked. "Yerp. I'll be there in a second." I said. "Okay, me and the guys will take your stuff out to the car." "Okay, thanks, dad." I replied. ~Ashley's POV~ Dad. I like the sound of that. I can't believe I have a daughter. She's so beautiful. I wonder why she was in here. Did something happen to Annabel? I hope not. I shook my head of the thoughts and put the last of her bags in the trunk when Kate came out. "Hey, kiddo" I said while closing the door. "I'm still shocked that you, the almighty bassist Ashley Purdy" she laughed. "Is my father. I mean, my mom said that she never told you about me 'cause y'all were starting to get famous, but I never knew your band was Black Veil Brides!" She exclaimed. "Well, get used to it Katie-cat, when we go on tour in a month, you're coming with us." I grinned. "OH MY GOD! REALLY?!" She yelled. "Yes, really!" I replied. She started making a weird noise and jumping up and down. "Are...you gonna 'splode?" I asked. She just shrugged. I laughed and said "You're my daughter, alright." "Hey, dad?" She whispered. "Hmm?" "Could we stop by my old house before we leave Huntington, please? I wanna see it one last time before we go to LA." "Sure, can you lead us to it?" "Yeah, I know my way around Huntington better than I know myself." She laughed. "It's about 20 minutes by car, I'll sit shotgun so I can lead y'all to it." "Alright." I said as we all piled into the car. ~Kate's POV~ On the way to my old house, Everyone started bombarding me with questions. "Why were you in the orphanage?" Dad asked. "Well, 3 years ago, my mom got diagnosed with Cancer. Unfortunately, she didn't make it. I was living with my stepfather." I started tearing up as all the memories came rushing back. "I'm sorry. I can't continue right now." I choked out. Dad laid a reassuring hand on my thigh, causing me to wince. Fortunately, no one noticed. We all sat in silence for the rest of the drive. We finally entered my old neighborhood. I smiled as tears ran down my face. "I'm gonna miss this place." I whispered.
