Chapter Two

Richie' POV

Jesus two days passed by quick

I thought to myself and got out of bed starting to get ready for my first day of 10th grade. I put on black ripped jeans with a white t-shirt and a leather jacket. I walked down stairs with my book bag and grabbed an apple and waited in the car for Nancy to drive Mike, Holly and me to school. After about like I would say 10 minutes Nancy got into the divers seat next to me. "Morning little bro" she said ruffling my curls. I smiled softly. "Morning Nance" "Morning Richieeeee" I heard Holly yell out to me, I turned back and saw Mike buckling her into her car seat. I smiled once again and turned forward waiting for Nancy to leave. "Ok everyone buckled?" she asked and looked around at everyone "Richie..." she said "Sorry, sorry I'll put it on" I say strapping into the car. "Thank you" she said and pulled out of the drive way.

*At Holly's school*

"Richie mind taking Ho-" "I got it" Mike said interrupting Nancy "Yea he's got it" I say and smiled at Mike who was climbing out of the car and went over to Holly's side and unbuckled her and took her out holding her hand and walked her to the front of her school. I watched him kiss the top of her four-head and walk back to the car and get back in on his side. Nancy pulled out of the parking lot and drove to our high school.

*At the high school*

I took a deep breath and grabbed my bag and got out the car heading to the school. Once I walked in Mike and Nancy went their separate ways. I looked around the halls and saw some faces I remembered from last year. But one stuck out from them all yn. She was leaning on the wall wearing black jean shorts that were ripped with fish nets on under them and a white crop top with her hair down naturally. I gulped and walked past her hoping she wouldn't notice me but she did. She grabbed me by my book bag and pulled me backwards ever so lightly so that I was now next to her. "Hey" she said which sent butterflies all through my body. just her simply saying hey made my stomach flip. "H-Hey" I choked out "So how was you're summer?" she asked I was really confused as to why she was talking to me, but I wasn't complaining "My summer wa-" before i could finish my sentence Henry walked over "What did I tell you last year?" "To stay away from you're si-" I was interrupted again "Henry we were just talking" she defending me. "I don't care, stay away understand" he said I sighed "I understand" I mumbled looking down "What was that, Fag" "I said I understand" I said raising my voice a little and looking up at him "Good now move" He said pushing me out the way and harshly towards the wall. Him and his goons started walking away and yn stayed and grabbed a cigarette out, Henry snapped his fingers and she rolled her eyes and pushed her self off the wall and walked over to him with the cigarette in her mouth and she light it as she walked to him.

What a douche

I thought and walked to my first period

*After school*

I visited Nancy at her locker and told her I wanted to walk home and I told her to tell mom I was gonna be late for dinner. I walked out of school and went straight to the woods to my safe spot. Instead of being alone I found someone else there crying. I walked up to them and down next to them. "You ok?" I asked, They shot their head up and quickly wiped their tears. It took me a couple a minutes to see that it was yn, it was a bit dark so I could barely see. "Yn?" I asked she sniffled and nodded. "Are you ok?" I ask again and hesitated before wrapping my arm around her shoulders to try and comfort her. she shook her head no and leaned onto my shoulder and cried a bit longer. I've never seen her cry before and I most definitely didn't like it. she took a few deep breaths before speaking. "My dad he's hurting Henry, again" "Again?" I repeat, she nodded "I hate seeing him always getting hurt, it's why he's always mean always trying to prove he's strong" "I feel bad now..." I say actually feeling really, really bad for Henry "Do you though?" she asked "Yes I actually do noe that I understand." "But I don't understand why he hates me" I say she laughed lightly "That's a story for another day" she said and stood up "Thanks Richie for comforting me" she said "Yea anytime you can always come and talk to me when ever you need" she smiled and looked at the watch on her hand "Oh fuck I gotta go Richie but come here tomorrow I don't want Henry to see me with you" "Yea here tomorrow after school?" she nodded and walked off.
