Mommy's POV
My eyes adjusted to the bright sun light coming through the window. As I expected my little baby was still latched on to my boob sucking away even in her sleep.
Her daddy on the other hand was spread out on the other side of our California king bed,but still managed to hold onto Harper's tiny hand in his sleep. I sighed and decided now would be a good time to caught up on some work.
For 2 hours I sat with my boobs out while typing away on my laptop and cellphone. At exactly 10 am my husband made the announcement that he was up by yawning and stretching loudly. I glared at him while covering my babies ears not wanting to wake her up. She can be quite grumpy when you wake her up from not having enough sleep.
He chuckles at me and leans over Harper's head to kiss my lips which makes me smile. I can never stay mad at him or harper for long. Since harper was still sleeping I tucked her between two large body pillows in the center of the bed while me and my husband took a nice hot shower.
I had just finished drying off and entered the room to find our little girl in the same spot I left her, but at this moment she had just discovered her tiny toes and was trying to get them to reach her mouth. I wanted to burst into laughter, but I simply pulled my phone out to record my sweet girl.
"Well it looks like we have a tiny baby on out had today" my husband spoke from behind me
Over the weeks we have had harper we are now able to tell from when she wakes what age she is that day. Today it seems she is 7 to 8 months of age since she can hold her head up and babble quietly.
Samuel and I quickly get dressed in sweats and t shirts and I decide against a bra since it would only get in the way of nursing and get harper frustrated when it is time to nurse. While Samuel went down stairs to order pizza and set up the movie room. I changed my little baby into a new diaper and pink onsie.
"Oh look at mommy's pretty baby. Your such a sweet girl. Yes you are cutie" I cooed at harper and watched her face light up from her mommy's voice
I loved tomes like this when me and my husband don't have any important work to do and our baby is out only focus. We have worked so hard to get where we are now and it amazes me everyday how our lives have changed for the better.
