I hear my phone vibrate and smile as I see another message from Killian. I've been seeing him for about a month. Our relationship is mostly sexual, but I really want to go on a real date with him. I walk into the movie theatre. We agreed to meet here at 8:45pm. I see him talking to a blonde girl. I wave to him. He says something to the blonde before running over to greet me.

"Hey." I grab onto his shoulders and pull him in for a kiss. He pulls away far too soon and looks behind him quickly.

"Is something wrong?"

"What? Oh no, no. Of course not." He shifts nervously. Maybe he doesn't usually go out with the girls he hooks up with. "I already bought the movie tickets. Do you want popcorn?"

"No thanks. I Just ate supper."

"Okay cool."

We walk to theatre 8, where our movie is playing. We sit down to wait for our movie to start. "I'm just going to run to the bathroom quickly." He gets up and quickly scurries out of the theatre.

Ten minutes later the movie starts and he's still not back yet. Two minutes into it he finally returns. "Hey finally, thought you were gonna miss it." "Wouldn't miss it for the world, love." He kisses my cheek.

Not 7 minutes later he's standing up again. I look at him. "Sorry love. Bathroom."

"Didn't you just go like ten minutes ago?"

"Uh yeah," He scratches behind his ear, "It was full so I'm just going now." He's gone before I can say anything else.

15 minutes after he gets back he leaves again with some lame excuse about getting popcorn. When he's not back 5 minutes later I go out to the hallway to look for him. Right as I walk out of my theatre a blonde girl walks out of the one across from me.

When we both just stand there looking around she walks over to me. "You looking for someone?"

"Yes, I seem to have lost my date."

She laughs. "Me too."

I roll my eyes and let out a small chuckle. "Men, am I right?"

I then see Killian walk out of the bathroom down the way. I open my mouth to say something but the blonde speaks first.

"Hey there you are babe. I was looking for you." Killian stands there, a terrified look on his face.

"Babe?! What the hell? Killian is my date."

"What are you talking about? We've been dating for two years."

I turn to Killian at that. "Don't just stand there with your mouth hanging open. Say something you asshole," I spit at him.

"Um... uh I...I... Em."

"YOU FUCKING SHITHEAD. HOW COULD YOU?!!" The blonde is crying now. She dumps her drink on his head and turns around, hurrying down the hallway.

"Emma! Regina." He tries to reach out to touch me. I slap his hand away and slap him across the face before chasing after the blonde.

"Hey." I put my hand on her arm to stop her from running. She turns to me. I hold her while she cries. "I am so sorry. I had no idea he had a girlfriend. You really didn't deserve that."

"Yeah. I had been suspecting it for a while. I just didn't want to believe he was actually cheating on me. I love him. I thought he loved me too."

"I'm so sorry. I can't imagine how you're feeling now."

"How long were you guys..."

"One month."

She takes in a deep breath. I reach forward to wipe her tears away. She leans forward slightly into my hands.

"Let's go finish your movie. No point in you missing the entire thing."

I take her hand and we walk back to her theatre. She doesn't let go the entire time. Thankfully Killian seems to have decided to leave so she doesn't have to see him again. The movie wasn't bad. It was some horror thriller. I don't usually go for that sort of thing.

We're back in the hallway. She looks at me, I can see tears in her eyes again. "Killian was kind of my ride..."

"Hey no worries, I'll give you a ride home." I pull her into a quick hug.

"I don't even know your name," She laughs lightly through her tears.

"Regina."

"It's nice to meet you Regina," she gives a small smile, "I'm Emma."

We both decide we don't feel like going home. We drive around for a while before ending up in an empty parking lot. We're talking, I don't even know what about. Suddenly her lips are on mine. She's kissing me.

Our lips move together, in a synchronized dance. Her tongue darts out across my lips. I grant her entrance. Our tongues move together and I moan, pulling her onto my lap. We continue to kiss as we awkwardly move into the back seat.

She sits on my lap and grinds her hips against me. We both moan. Her lips taste salty. I pull back. She tries to keep kissing me. I push her back again. It's dark, I can barely see her but I know she's crying. She tries to wipe her tears away, but more follow. Before I know it, she's sobbing in my arms.

I hold her while she sobs. I will hold her forever if I have to. I run my fingers through her hair. Her breathing steadies. She's asleep.

I kiss her head. "I'm here Emma."

--- 6 months later ---

"Emma!"

She runs into my arms and kisses me. "You know what today is?"

"Of course I do. Why do you think I set up this lovely picnic date?" I gesture behind me. "Six months since that ass of a boy brought us together." She smiles at me. I can see her tearing up. It still hurts.

"I love you Regina."

I gasp lightly at her confession. "I love you too, Emma," I breathe out.

She kisses me. I pour all the love I have for her into it. I love her.
