headphones

i had never seen her walk this way before.
everyday for two years, i have sat at this bench and not once saw her.
until today.
she walked down the street with a puzzled look on her face.
her ponytail swished in the breeze, reveling a set of blue headphones.
and i wanted to badly know who she was listening to or what song for that matter.
though i could have gotten her attention with the wave of a hand,
i did not.
