today she had a joyful and relaxed expression on her face.
and right before she hit that spot where the bench is parallel to the sidewalk,
she smiled.
i wouldn't have been surprised if i had flatlined right then and there on that rusty bench.
because the last thing i would have seen was her smile.
and i wanted to know if she was listening to best coast.
their music made me happy. it made me feel alive and at ease.
and so did she.
