We were out of the country filming for the new Avengers. It had been a long day in the humid weather and I was exhausted. I had spent half of the day flying about on wires and falling all over the place. I had quite a lot of bruises, and just wanted a hot shower and then to fall into a deep sleep.

That is exactly what I did when I got to the hotel all of the cast and crew were staying in. I said night to Chris Hemsworth who was staying in the joint room next to me and got under the covers falling into a peaceful slumber.

I walked onto the set and said my lines as powerfully as I could. I portrayed my strong character and pushed everything else out of my mind. I had been having a bad day. That morning I had spilt coffee all down myself and RDJ and was so embarrassed, then I thought I saw someone in the corner of my eye as I walked to where we were filming, which put me slightly on edge.

Once I had finished filming, I left the set and began walking to my trailer. I was texting a friend when all the sudden I was pushed behind a trailer and to the floor.

"(Y/N), (Y/N), (Y/N). What are we going to do with you? You obviously aren't meant to be here. You aren't good enough to be here. You should have just stayed in (Y/H/T)." A man said above me, before kicking me in the stomach.

I screamed out trying to get anyone's attention, but nobody came. I started to panic, trying to think of ways to escape.

"There is no point (Y/N), you aren't smart enough to think of a way out. You have nothing going for you. You can't act and you aren't even pretty." The man snarled, before going back to kicking me. Pain flooded my senses, as I whimpered.

I saw the man grab something, then a loud bang, as he pointed a gun towards me.

I shot up in the bed, sweating and panting, checking my surroundings for the man who plagued my dreams, but there was no one there. I sighed in relief, as I tried to get my breathing back under control.

As I turned to go back to sleep something moved in the corner of my eye. I shot back up and turned the lamp on.

There was a giant spider on the wall next to the bed.

I froze for a second, before crawling down the bed towards the other side of the room, never taking my eyes off of the spider. It just sat there, as if it had been there the whole time.

I slowly made my way to the door joining my room to Chris's. I gently knocked on the door and called his name out. There was no response so I quietly opened the door and called his name again from the doorway.

"(Y/N)?" I hear Chris groan quietly. "(Y/N), what is wrong? You okay?" Chris gets up and moves towards me, taking in my dishevelled appearance from the light of my lamp.

"I'm sorry for waking you. But there is a huge spider and I'm too scared to go near it" I whimper, blushing red as I realise how embarrassing this is.

"Don't worry about it. Stay here while I get rid of it" Chris chuckles gently, before emptying the bowl on the desk to the side of us and grabbing a piece of paper. He opens the window, moving towards the spider on the wall. I stand in the doorway watching as the spider doesn't even move as he covers it with the bowl. After slipping the paper under the bowl, he moves to the window. Knowing the spider is sat on the paper, he just drops it out of the window, watching it drop to the ground with the spider on it.

He replaces the bowl onto the counter and closes the window, as I make my way over to the bed, pulling the covers off and lifting the pillows to make sure there isn't another one. I then drop down to the floor and check under the bed.

I turn to Chris, who is stood by the window still, smirking lightly at me. "Thank you, Chris. I don't know what I would have done without you" I smile at him, moving to hug him, my head slotting below his chin, showing the major height difference between us. I pull back and go to move back towards the bed.

Chris takes my hand before I reach the bed and turns the lamp off, leading me towards his room. As we reach the door separating our rooms, I stop in confusion. "Chris, what are you doing?" I ask.

"We both know that you aren't going to get any sleep in your room now, as you are going to be constantly on the lookout for spiders. So you are sleeping in my room." He says as if he is making the simplest point.

"Oh, if you are sure?" I whisper in the darkness.

"Don't be silly (Y/N), of course, it is fine. We have a busy day tomorrow, you need your sleep." He replies, closing the door to my room and leading me over to the bed.

We both lay down on separate sides of the bed. Chris on his back, me on my side, facing him. I stare at him in wonder, shocked that he has been so kind to me.

As I drift off back into the dream world, I feel the bad presence again.

I lift my face up, feeling my hands tied behind me and the amount of pain I'm in.

"You didn't think I would let you go that easily, did you (Y/N)?" He says as I feel the blood still coming out of my abdomen. I was losing blood fast and knew that I wouldn't be conscious much longer.

"Stop! Why are you doing this? Please, stop!" I whimper and try to move away from him.

"(Y/N)? Can you hear me?" I feel myself shaking as I lose consciousness again. "(Y/N)!"

I wake up panting, not knowing where I am or what is happening.

"(Y/N), it is okay. You are safe. I'm here. It's me, Chris." I feel strong arms wrap around me as Chris pulls me into his toned bare chest. "It was just a nightmare, you are alright"

I lean into him, wrapping my arms around his waist, as I pant into his chest. "I'm so sorry! I just seem to keep waking you up" I can feel the tears in my eyes, as I struggle to calm down.

It felt like no matter how much I breathed, the oxygen was not reaching my lungs.

"(Y/N)? You okay? You need to take deep breathes sweetheart" Chris said softly, holding me upright. He moves so that I was sitting in between his legs, leaning against his chest with his arms wrapped around me. "It is okay (Y/N), everything is okay. I am here for you, I always will be"

I snuggle against Chris' chest as I begin to feel myself calm down. I take deep breaths, slowly in and out, just as I had been taught to in this situation.

"Chris, I'm sorry. I sometimes get nightmares, that is why I woke up to see the spider in the first place." I trailed off, flushing red, and averting my eyes to my legs.

"It is okay. As long as you are okay? Do you get nightmares often?" Chris asked, turning me around in his lap, so I was facing him.

"Quite often, yeah. It is because I have anxiety. Only a couple of people know though. The directors and Chris Evans. But I didn't tell him. I told the Russo brothers about my anxiety, in case something happened, and they told Chris because they thought it would be helpful to me. As he also struggles with anxiety, so he knows what I am going through" I ramble, still avoiding Hemsworth's gaze.

"I'm glad you have told me. You could have told me before though. I would have listened" Chris states softly, reaching out his index finger and raising my head, so he could look into my eyes.

"Thank you" I whisper, as my gaze flicks down to his lips.

We both lean in to brush our lips against each other's at the same time, meeting in the middle. I smile against his lips, before pulling back slowly.

"We should sleep" I murmur against his lips, moving to lay back down, pulling his large frame with me, before moving to lay on his chest, my head on his shoulder. His arms move to wrap around my waist as we both finally drift off into a peaceful uninterrupted sleep.
