City Lights (Devin "Ghost" Sola)

Chapter Four

~Carolyn's Point of View ~

I drove to school today instead of walked. I feel weird for some reason. It's like something is pulling me. I've had it since I met Ghost. For some reason I feel like something is bound to happen.

I turn on the radio and pop in the CD Ghost gave me of the band he plays in. I think they're called Motionless in White.

I pull up to the school and park. I see Ghost standing by the tree we met up at before. I smile and walk up to him.

"Hey there beautiful" he smiles. "Hi" I blush. "So how'd you like the CD, good huh?" "Yes it's amazing, you and your friends are really talented" "Thank you, you want to meet the rest of them today?" "Sure, um meet you here?" "Yep, I have to go to tutorials during lunch so I won't see you" I frown a bit "Okay I'll see you here" He smiles and hugs me tight "See you too"

I walk to my first class. 30 minutes in I get bored and put my head down. I start to daydream. It's one of my random flashbacks...

Year is 1814

"Are you sure it's safe Devin?"

"Yes my love I promise"

I get into the carriage next to Devin. Tonight was the night I would finally run away with him. My father never approved of him and this was our only escape.

"I love you so much Aurelia and now we will be together forever" Devin says as he pecks my lips.

"I love you too my dear, forever" I smile and kiss back.

We ride through the moonlight path on carriage.

"They're over there!!!!!" We hear a man on horseback yell.

I look worriedly at Devin. His face is pale. "They found us" I whisper. He whips the reins and speeds down the trail as fast as the horses could take us. The men on horseback are close. Devin whips the reins again. We speed up faster. The men are still following close behind.

--screech-- we're thrown off a cliff. I yell for Devin as I fall. He pulls me to him and lays me on his chest so he would break my impact.

"I love you Aurelia" he yells "I love you Devin" I yell as we hit the rocks. Everything goes black. I see Devin unconscious being pulled away by a cloaked figure. Then everything goes back to black as my life slips away..
