City Lights (Devin "Ghost" Sola)

Chapter Two

~Devin's Point Of View~

I went out and waited by the tree when school let out. I'm really starting to like this girl. It hasn't even been a day yet and I'm already falling for her. Everything about her is perfect. I get lost in thought until I feel a tap on my shoulder. "Hey Ghost"

"Oh hey" I chuckle while I snap back to reality. I start walking her to my car and I open the door for her. She blushes as she steps in. As I start driving I ask her questions. "How was your first day at school?"

"It went better than I thought" "No one gave you a hard time?" "No no one really noticed me" I smile "Good a pretty girl like you doesn't need to have people bothering you" I could see her blushing out of the corner of my eye.

"Earlier today people were messing with you, do they do that all the time?" she asks quietly. I frown a bit "Yeah but I don't think much of it"

Before she says something we pull up to my house. We both get out and walk up the steps. I link my arm with her and say in a fake fancy tone "This way mistress" She laughs "Thank you my good sir"

As we walk up to the door we are greeted by a shirtless Chris whos brushing his teeth. He looks up and notices Carolyn. His eyes go wide and he quickly takes the toothbrush out if his mouth and spits into the bush next to the door. "Oh shit I'm sorry I wasn't expecting anyone" Carolyn tries to hide her laugh. I roll my eyes, Classic Chris.

We walk in. "Carolyn this is Chris, Chris this is Carolyn" she smiles shyly "Nice to meet you Chris" "Nice to meet you too Carolyn" he smiles warmly. "We're gonna chill in my room tell the rest of the guys not to bother us" "Okayyy" he sneers and winks. He's so childish at times.

I walk down up the stairs to my room. I open the door with 'Ghost' written in bloody letters. "Wow" Carolyn stares in awe. "You like it?" I ask shyly rubbing the back of my neck. "I love it" she smiles brightly.

She goes and sits on my bed and I sit next to her. She stares at all my posters of bands and my basses on my wall. "This is amazing" "Thank you" I blush. "So I'm guessing you play bass?" I smile "Yes" She smiles and looks up at me "Could you teach me?"

"Oh um sure" I blush to myself. "Pick out one off my wall" She smiles excitedly "This one" she points shyly. It's a black and white chevron bass. (a/n inspiration from Jinxx's guitar from Black Veil Brides)

"Nice choice dear" I pick up the bass and set it in front of her. "You hold it like this" I move her hands to the areas. She giggles "This is amazing" "Now you put your hands this way on the strings" I try to move her hands but she is really stiff. I chuckle "Here let me help you" I sit behind her and put my arms and hands over hers. It sends sparks through me, I wonder if she feels them too.

She relaxes and tries again this time she is a lot better. "Now try to strum" She attempts but fails causing me to giggle at her. "Hey this is hard" she turns and gives me a pouty face. "Aw come on" I laugh "You got this". "Nuuu Ghost" she whines. I grab her hand and move it across the strings. "Like this" I whisper close to her ear. She nods then does it by herself perfectly. "See?" smiles and turns around giving me a hug.

We hug for a long time until I pull away a bit and look at her face to face. "You are so adorable" She looks down and blushes. I move her chin up with my finger so we're face to face again. We get really close and we're about to kiss. The door slams open "Hayyyyyyyy!!!" Ricky comes in. I break away "Fuck you Ricky!" I yell. "Shit wrong time, who's the pretty chick?" I roll my eyes "This is Carolyn; Carolyn this is Ricky" she looks up and smiles shyly "Hi"

"Just came to tell you that foods here" "Alright I'll be down in a few Rick" Ricky leaves. "Are you hungry?" I ask Carolyn. "No not really, I need to go home and do my homework and feed my cat" she pouts. "Okay" I smile "I need to take you home then" I link my arm with hers "This way my love" I say in my fake fancy accent again. She laughs "Of course" mimicking my accent.

I walk her out and open the door for her. I get in and I put in a CD of ours. The first song that starts playing is City Lights. "I really like this song" "Really, it's one of my personal favorites too." i start humming along to it. We start driving through the city. It's beautiful at night with all the lights. I look sometimes to see Carolyn staring in awe. "There's so much beauty when your eyes lay lost in all the City Lights" I sing out loud.

She blushes deep red. She looks up and tells me we're here. I open the door and walk her up the steps. "Thank you for a good time" she smiles. "Anytime love" I smile a little too big. I pull her into a hug and kiss her forehead. "Goodnight" "Goodnight Ghost"

Okay yes I like this girl a lot but it hasn't even been a day yet. She's perfect, adorable, and when we're together it seems we've known each other forever.
