Ch. 4 - Weird Dream and the Next Morning

~ Shelby's POV~
    So after our movie, Nick carried me up to my room and put me to bed. Before he left my room, he kissed me on my forehead like he has done every night whenever I stay with him.
Me - "Night Nicky!!"
Nick - "goodnight Shelby!!"
  With that being said, I fell asleep.  Tonight was the first night in the last few days that I had been able to sleep well. Probably because I couldn't wait to be with nick. But not only did I sleep well, I had the weirdest dream ever, and it included my brothers dressed as fairy princesses for my niece Alena's birthday... my dream was interrupted though by my alarm on my phone going off, and blaring the song "Year 3000". When I fully began to wake up, I noticed my door open up a few inches and heard four paws pounce on my bedroom floor, then all of a sudden my brother's golden retriever named Elvis jumped on my bed!
Me - "well good morning to you too Elvis!!"
After a few minutes of playing, I finally got Elvis off of me and went downstairs to the kitchen, and by the time I made it to the stairs, I could smell bacon, but who was cooking it?
Me - "do I smell bacon??"
Tucker - "yes you do!"
Me - "what are you doing here this early in the morning Tucker?"
Tucker - "good morning to you too!! And your brother had some stuff to take care of for the album, so he called me to come keep an eye on ya till he gets back!"
Me - "ok cool! So what ya cooking??"
Tucker - "my specialty!"
Me - "so pancakes and bacon?!?"
Tucker - "you know me so well!"
Me - "yes I do!"
     While Tucker and I were in the kitchen talking and eating breakfast, we heard a knock at the front door.
Me - "I'll get it!"
Tucker - "ok"
   So I walked to the front door and opened it, and to my surprise, Joe and his fiancé Sophie Turner were standing there.
Me - "hi Sophie!!! Joseph..."
Sophie - "good morning Shelby!!"
Joe - "Shelby.."
Me - "come on in! Tucker just made breakfast if y'all want something to eat.."
Joe - "thanks, uh where's Nick??"
Me - "honestly, I don't know, he was gone before Elvis came into wake me up this morning. Tucker said he had some stuff handle for the album."
Joe - "oh ok..."
   - Joe and Sophie followed me back into the kitchen-
Tucker - "Shelby, who was at the door, oh Hey joe!! Sophie!!"
Joe - "Tucker!! My man! How ya been??"
Tucker - "I been good! How bout you??"
Joe - "I've been good considering- you know..." joe glanced at me..
Me - "hey Sophie?"
Sophie - "yea??"
Me - "can I talk to you in the other room for a minute???"
Sophie - "sure!"
   As Sophie and I walked towards the living room, I looked back at my brother and Tucker. They had confused looks on their faces.
Sophie - "what's up??"
Me - "did Joe say anything to you yesterday about our flight??"
Sophie - "he said you snapped at him. What happened??"
Me - "he asked me why I haven't spoken to him in 3 years.."
Sophie - "oh.."
Me - "does joe ever talk about me??"
Sophie - "all the time! He keeps saying how much he wants you at our wedding but he doesn't think you will come."
Me - "of course I want to go to the wedding, it's just that I don't want to start an argument on yalls big day! Plus joe and I have barely spoken in the last few years.."
Joe - "and I wanna change that..." Said joe from outta nowhere.
Me - "Joe.. you scared me.."
Joe - "Sorry.. hey soph, can I talk to my sister for a minute?"
Sophie - "sure babe!"
With that being said Sophie went back into the kitchen and Joe and stared at each other for few seconds before he broke the silence.
Joe - "so... what happened between us?? I mean besides the fight we had, I don't even remember what it was about.."
Me - "honestly I don't even know what it was about, I just remember you snapping at me for asking you if you were ok one night while you were drunk after you broke up with Ashley.."
Joe - "oh.. what did I say?"
Me - "you called me...." I said starting to cry.
Joe - "I called you what??"
Me(now fully crying) - "you called me mom and dads mistake.."
Joe - "I did?"
Me - "yea.. it really hurt me joe. And after you said it that night. I had Nick come get me. I stayed with nick for 2 weeks then went to live with Kevin."
Joe - "do you think we will ever be ok??"
Me - "I don't know Joe.."
Joe - "I'm sorry for what i Said you know..."
Me - "ya I know..."
Joe "and I'm pretty sure it will take you a while to forgive me.."
Me - "actually I forgave you a long time ago, i just didn't ever have the urge to talk to you because I never knew whether or not you would lash out."
Joe - "can we please be on good terms??? I miss to talking to my favorite sister.."
Me(starting to laugh) - "Joe I'm your only sister!"
Joe - "I got you to laugh like used to!"
Me - "yea you did! And I miss talking to you too Joey!!"
Joe - "I love you so much Shelby!!! And I promise never to hurt you again!!"
Me - "I love you too Joey!!"
   After our conversation we hugged. We didn't pay attention to the time, because we didn't even realize my brother Nick standing there smiling at us when we pulled apart.
Nick - "did you two finally make up??"
Me - "shit Nick! You scared us!!"
Joe - "and yes we made up!"
Nick - "good cause Kevin and I are tired of playing mediators for you two!"
Joe - "but y'all made wonderful mediators Nicky!!"
Nick - "it's Nick and only Shelby is allowed to call me Nicky!!"
Joe - "ok then! Well I think Soph and I are gonna get goin!"
Me - "ok then! Bye Joey!! Love you!"
Joe - "love ya Shelby! Bye Nick!"
Nick - "bye bro!"
   After we said our goodbyes to Sophie and Joe, Tucker had left and it was just me and Nick and we decided to binge watch kingdom. It was quite hilarious actually because Tucker's character adds a lot of humor to the show! The only thing I wasn't a fan of is the fact that Nicks character Nate gets beat up at the end of the first episode(SPOILER ALERT for those who haven't seen the show). Once we finished the first season nick and I were both pretty tired so we decided to go to bed.
Me - "night Nick! Come on Elvis!" I said as my brothers dog followed me to my room.
Nick - "night Shelby!! You too Elvis!!"
   With that being said, we went to bed happily until halfway through the night.....
