The campus was larger than Jungkook thought.

Just to walk to his first class of the day was a 3.5 mile walk and at that point he'd be better off taking the bus. But Jungkook's a poor college student who was poor before he even arrived on campus- he can't afford to do that.

So he sucked it up and followed the google maps instructions.

It wasn't so bad, at least he has his headphones in. Music makes everything better in Jungkook's opinion, for he's always been addicted to it. Not that he'd ever admit it, and especially not in front of Min Yoongi who he recently discovered is a music major. The older would most likely lecture him on his "poor music taste" even though in reality- Jungkook has the best music taste.

And he sighs as he approaches the building that was having multiple students entering and exiting the doors. Each of them had large backpacks weighing heavy on their shoulders and there was no doubt in Jungkook's mind that they were already supporting heavy text books that cost hundreds of dollars.

He follows behind two girls through the glass doors that are already smudged with fingerprints. He glances down at his phone for the room number again and begins his way towards the stairwell. He can recall Jimin's instructions from this morning pretty well, don't sit in the front but don't sit in the back. Oh and most importantly, don't get lost.

He definitely doesn't want to be that lost freshman.

He let out a sigh as he pushed the heavy doors open revealing the rather large room that wasn't quite packed yet. Jungkook took careful steps down the isle and slipped into a random row of desk. He glanced around at his neighbors as he warily pulled out his chair and slide his backpack onto the desk in front of him before finally taking a seat.

He felt himself melting into the chair finally relaxed.

So this is college?

Jungkook gladly flopped onto his bed already exhausted from all the walking.

Today's been spent walking  from class to class, and during the long breaks between courses Jungkook found himself wondering back to the dorms. He's hoping to sneak in a hour long nap rather than attending lunch like everyone else. Apparently Hoseok has other plans as he watches the younger from across the room at his desk with a smirk upon his lips.

"Ha" he hears a cackle escape his roommates lips and the sound of keys clanking together, "wanna get lunch?"

"At the canteen?" Jungkook scrunches his nose (the canteen isn't all that good).

"You coming" Hoseok ignores his question.

"So yes?" Jungkook drops the hand covering his eyes and flings himself into a sitting position. He wasn't that surprised to meet Hoseok's bored stare. "Okay- fine". Hoseok lets out a chuckle and walks past Jungkook to the door.

"So how's the first day been?" Hoseok asks as they finally make it out of their room and to the elevator.

"It's a lot of walking, but it's already better than any school I've attended before" Jungkook admits as the two take steps onto the empty elevator. The atmosphere of college was already drastically different than high school- at least to Jungkook anyway. College meant freedom from home and finally being out on your own (something Jungkook's only dreamed of since the day his father left) he could feel his peers excitement radiating off of them. Just this energy makes him question what sporting events are like, or frat parties.
