Jungkook's feet drag, partially because he woke up only minutes ago, and partially because he really wasn't looking forward to art history, although he knew he shouldn't let his fear of Taehyung hating him ruin the class for him, and he should try his best to power through it for at least the rest of the semester, maybe after that he can switch out and it won't leave an ugly scar on his transcripts. He wasn't sure how time would work, but the option comforts him as he draws near the basement. Taehyung's words from the night nearly a week ago flood his thoughts, crashing over his wariness and sleepy demeanor like a tidal wave.

That nasty anxious feeling only weighs heavier as he wonders if Taehyung said those things just because Jungkook wouldn't leave any sooner, and maybe it was all to just fill in the silence that it would have been if he hadn't gone on about random facts and stories.

Nevertheless, Jungkook pushes himself to at least enter the classroom, he wasn't going into debt for nothing, and skipping class isn't ideal. So he forces himself to round the tables and students who've arrived before he had. They leave their chairs pulled half-way out and don't scoot in, and Jungkook questions just how the fact most of the class is older than him yet don't have the basic manners to at least scoot out of the way when people pass. But, Jimin had always insisted the kids around campus can be assholes, Jungkook's just confused what took so long to notice the fact.

His anger slips away after catching sight of the silver boy sat at near the end, the same spot as before.

Taehyung was dressed slightly different, most likely because the warm weather, but his jeans and converse were always the same, and now that Jungkook thinks about it, he hasn't seen Taehyung wear any other shoe than his high tops, his curiosity and anxiousness peeking as the silver head boy's eyes quickly dart up from his sketch pad and towards Jungkook's direction.

Jungkook's lips part as he unthreads one arm out of his book bag, letting it slide and drop to the floor off the other, and he's ready to apologize for being such a nuisance and a bother before-

"The school offered its money once to buy a newer building for all the art students years back," Taehyung spoke as he leaned back on the plastic chair, "but the art students begged them not to, because then this would have been  wasted, and at that point, it was already their second home".

"So it was more that they were already comfortable?" Jungkook tries his best to hide his nervousness as he leans forward and tugs out his chair, allowing himself to slip in such easy going conversation, but still in wonder if Taehyung secretly hated him.

He doesn't seem to though.

He seems different.

"Guess so" Taehyung nods, "we all know that as art students you should never destroy someone else's work, like it's illegal and a sin".

"Ah".

"Yeah" Taehyung nods before picking up a paintbrush and dipping it into his water bottle, slowly going over what most have been watercolor pencil. "It's second to stealing art".

Jungkook's eyes widen as he realizes Taehyung is simply picking up where they last left the conversation off, and he smiles softly to himself as he ponders if Taehyung had really been waiting almost an entire week to do so. And so he allows himself to relax slightly in his cold seat, picking at his sleeve as he nods in agreement, "stealing art is stupid".

"Have you experienced it" Taehyung frowns, "it happens too often to me".

"Yeah" Jungkook breathes out as he glances over at Taehyung's sketch pad, the messy sketchy lines washing away with the watercolor decorating the page. Strokes of purple and blue fading into a contrast of orange and yellow. It was odd how the sketch, now watercolor painting, of an old man could look so detailed and breathtaking. "But it wasn't anything serious" Jungkook adds after a few seconds of silence, "just a few moves for the final grade".
