I don't wanna die

*Patton's pov*

     It was the first day of the fight. we don't get partners but I'll try to keep all them close. Keep your friends close but your enemies closer. Cause if you don't... You'll die. That's why I always act happy... I knew this day was coming... I better get prepared.

*time skip*

     There's one thing I haven't told you yet... I like someone.... Like, like them like them.... And hey you guessed it... It's Virgil. I can't tell him though... Not now... Not ever... Cause he'll get me closer then kill me.... I don't want to believe it.... But I have to in order to stay alive. Because I don't wanna die... So there gonna have to.

*time skip*

     We all set out saying our goodbyes... Me of course fake crying to make it more believable. As the people took me away, I was thinking about what I would need. Food, water, a gun, ammo, knifes, a backpack to carry all my things. That should be all for now. Later I'll look for shelter. But for now stick to the list.

(Okay let me tell you more about what's happening... So for a long time people have been planning for Patton, Virgil, Roman, and Logan, and Thomas (they are all individuals.) to go and fight and well kill each other. So they have to survive alone collect supplies alone and trust no one.)

*time skip*

     "Okay here we go... You can do this Patton..." I say to myself sighing afterwards. I'm trying to make a fire since its getting dark.
"There we go!" I instantly cover my mouth... To loud.
After I get the fire made I start collecting more sticks. It looks like its going to rain... I hate the outside...

*another time skip*

      Okay I got water from the stream, I got a rabbit for food, poor little bunny, and I have sticks and big leaves built into a little tent for shelter.
"I should be-" I feel water hit my head. And then it started pouring rain... And now you know why I hate nature!
"No! My fire!" And it went out... Crud... I went inside my little tent and closed the leaf door. Shivering I think of what will happen if I get caught. I don't wanna die, I don't wanna die. I repeat to myself... I'm already going crazy and I haven't even been out here for more the 5 hours. I ate the rabbit and drank my water that I boiled and purified. After that I layed down on the cold hard floor. I fell asleep and forgot about everything.

*time skip to the next day*

*Virgil's pov*

     I hate the outside... I hate that we all have to fight to stay alive... My anxiety is at very high levels. I was able to get some food and water. I cooked the food and boiled the water. Then after I finished my "meal" I went to go find some things to build a shelter. I found some bamboo and big heavy leaves.
"This is all I get.... Alright..." I say to myself.
After I finish making my shelter I hear shuffling in the woods. I get down and pull out my pocket knife. I see someone... Roman... 'Oh-no, no, no, no! Whyyyyyyy! He's the strongest one here! I won't be able to beat him!' I think to myself. I get down even lower. At least there's overgrown grass to hide in. He walks past me. I hear him talking.

"Logan! Come here! I won't hurt you I promise!" I hear Roman say. I look back and see roman's fingers crossed behind his back. Oh sh*t. I don't want to get up and get killed myself... But Logan's my friend and he was always there for me... So was Patton... Roman didn't really care... I got up slowly and started waving my hands around to signal that he was lying. He looked at me then back at Roman.

"Roman... You realize I'm not stupid... Correct?" Logan said as he ran into the woods Roman shortly following after. I sighed in relief and returned to my makeshift tent.
