Guardian Angel

Part 6

The whole week Loki takes care of you until your period finally stopped even though the last two days you went back to functioning normal and the other two you could function with some painkiller. The first two you would not have survived without him.

The whole experience brought you guys even closer together since he wouldn't leave you alone. Also relying a little on him for certain things made you trust him even more.

You fell asleep in his arms as well once or twice... or five times. He never woke you even once respecting your need of sleep. He never even used the opportunity to do something naughty or bad which gave you some more trust.

Today, a week after your period ended, Thor and his girlfriend Jane come by to see how Loki is now... so you guys have to bunk.

You start pulling on your bed to make it a double. Loki runs in quite frankly scared because of the weird sounds. ''What are you doing.'' ''Doubling my bed,'' you moan still pulling.

As it comes out inch by inch Loki starts to help and suddenly it goes very fast. ''My big and strong God, what should I do without you,'' you giggle and pull out another quilt for him.

''What are you doing anyway?'' Loki lays down on your mattress that is two singles heaped on top on each other. ''Double them. We are bunking today because Thor and Jane come to visit and stay over for the night.'' ''Why?'' You shrug. ''They insisted.''

Loki comes off so you can make the bed which you quickly do. When you are done Loki lays back down. ''Why are you always in my room,'' you ask fake annoyed. ''Because I hate mine.''

It was quite logical he said that. He was denied any kind of privileges to make his room a little more comfortable. Suddenly a light bulb goes on above your head. You have been thinking about how you could thank him for taking such amazing care of you and risking a loy by asking for your supplies.

''I still have to double your bed. Would you please help me?'' He sits up and nods. ''Sure, babe, then go for a walk?'' You hum in agreement and help him up. When you're done with his bed you go outside for a walk.

Sitting in your usual spot at the edge of the dek. You lay your head on Loki his shoulder and sigh deeply. ''I'm happy I met you,'' you say wrapping your arms around his. ''You sound like you are going to leave me soon.'' You hold on tighter.

''I don't hope so, but in situations like this you never know.'' He lays his hand on your knee and squeezes. ''I am happy we are friends as well babe.'' After a while just sitting in silence you see a yet come close to the ship. ''That will be your brother,'' you sigh deeply.

''he is not my brother,'' Loki sighs rolling his eyes, ''just like Frigga is not my mother.'' ''Of course, she is.'' You pull your arms away from him. How could he say that?

''Your mum is not the person that put you on this earth. Your mother is the person that loves you, sit by your bed when you're sick, teaches you the ropes of life and hugs you when you did something good. Don't you see that?''He just looks at you as you put the gag back on.

You stand up and walk him back to your room where you uncuff him. He sits down on the couch and starts to watch Star Wars New Hope which had become his favourite in the past month or so.

You sit down next to him in silence. ''Sorry, I said that. It was none of my-'' ''Stop.'' Loki takes your hand and pulls you closer. ''Do not ever feel the need to apologise for speaking your mind.'' You look away from his burning gaze. ''I thought you did not like what I said. You're so quiet.''

Loki gracefully takes your chin between his fingers. ''I did not mind you saying it. Even if I did I want you to be that 'badass' woman that I first met and don't give a damn.''

You look back up and smile. Every now and then he would say such things and you still don't know exactly how to react. A slight blush rises on your face. Your faces start to inch towards each other and the heat in the room rises.

Your lips almost touch when a knock on the door disturbs you. Loki lets go and looks up furiously. You look away slightly embarrassed and quickly run to the door. Loki is clearly annoyed by the interruption.

You open the door for Jane and Thor. Thor puts down his hammer next to the door and takes you in a bone-crushing embrace. ''Hey buddy.'' He lets go again and then you shake hands with Jane since you never met her before.

''Brother, how good it is to see you again.'' Loki stands up already calmed down a little. You smile at him as Thor takes him in a long hug as well. Loki pats him on the bag once or twice before he finally let's go.

''So, what is the plan,'' he then asks. ''I actually managed to let you out for a night,'' you speak. Loki frowns but smile. He walks up to you with a confused face. ''How?'' ''With Thor, me and a special shock collar you are allowed to come along to a restaurant and a movie,'' you smile a little cautious unsure of his reaction.

He takes you in a long hug very different from Thor. Loki holds you around your waist with care like he might break you. His fingertips grace your body slowly moving them. He buries his face in your neck whispering a 'thank you' in your ear. When he lets go you feel very accomplished, you did it. You made him happy with something so simple.

''Thor would you be a darling and help me get the shock collar?'' ''Of course my lady.'' ''Jane, mind being alone with him for five minutes?'' ''No... not at all.'' ''Great!'' of course you noticed the sarcasm but the worst she can do is slap him if she gets the chance.

You and Thor quickly walk out so you don't miss your reservation. ''Thor, could you please do me a favour,'' you ask as you walk through the halls. ''Depends on what it is.'' ''You have to Loki sit for me tomorrow and the day after tomorrow elsewhere then the flat.'' He frowns and looks down on you.

''Why?'' ''I am going to renovate a little and he cannot be home for that.'' He smiles and nods at you. ''I completely understand and I will do as you ask me.'' ''Thank you.'' ''Everything for you. You have done so much for me.''

You look up at him. Where did that come from? ''What do you mean?'' ''Since you have been guarding my brother he calmed down enormously! I owe you my thank many times. If it continues like this he might even be able to return home with me one day.'' You shortly smile. Of course, this was the goal but you got used to the trickster around.

''It is my pleasure Thor,'' you reply and then type in the code to the lab. You walk in and get the collar from Stark with a short explanation. You walk back with Thor when he starts to talk again.

''You like him... don't you?'' You look up at him and frown while smiling. ''Yeah, he is a good man and I'm happy to call him my friend.'' He nods and looks down on you. ''Certain he is just your friend?'' You snap your neck towards him.

''Of course!'' ''The way you act to one another, you could have fooled me.'' You look at the floor. ''What are you implying, that I love him?'' ''Are you?'' You let out a sarcastic love.

''How dare you say such thing! I would not, I could not. Even if I did... it would never work out.'' The words come out in a fast pace and sound barely believable like you don't just try to convince him... but yourself as well. Do you? Do you love him?

''Even if I did... he would never love me back.''
