Chapter 2: Muse

Hanbin is on the phone dialing for something urgent. The phone was picked up finally.

'Yes? BI? What made you call so late?', the other person spoke.

'Ah, yes. Manager-nim I need you to check on the details for next week activities', he responded.

After so much discussion on the phone, hanbin throw the phone on the side table. He is on his studio concentrating and working on some new compositions. His members went to their dorm right away after recording from SBS Inkigayo.
It still hits him the incident from earlier. He smiled sadly.

'Bittersweet', he softly speak while focusing on the computer screen infront of him.

He remembered the day where he was supposed to say something to jennie. That time before blackpink's debut, Teddy asked him for a rap lyrics to be put on blackpink debut song. He eagerly made it because he knew it was for jennie. Half part was finished already. He thinks it's quite hard since he needed to feel it on jennie's beat. Confused of more lyrics, he was in need to see jennie for ideas. Girl crush concept isn't his style tho.  So he sneakily went to blackpink practice room to ask for jennie's ideas. While on his way, the practice room seemed silent and empty from the hallway. He still went further to really checked if there are no people. But what he witnessed was too much for his heart can handle.

It was jennie.

He thought jennie was alone so he proceeded walking smiling from ears to ears. But his footsteps went slowly and slowly till he stop midway. Jennie wasn't alone. He was with a guy he thought was familiar but he couldn't guessed so much because of the cap he was wearing. He was surprisingly holding her hand. Jennie was also staring at him dreamily.

Do they often do this here? I'm afraid they might be seen. But what are they really doing? Ya, Kim jennie. Are you insane? You haven't debuted just yet. Hanbin thought to himself and decided to stop them before anyone could see them. She is still a trainee and he knows how jennie wants to debut because they dreamt about it together. But before he could stop them he was the one to stop on crossing the entrace.

'I like you jen', the guy uttered.

Hanbin couldn't fully grasped what is happening but he felt a spang of defeat when he knew that voice. It was too late to back it out from the scene when he saw him kissed her.

"Mino?", he whispered almost cracking to himself while watching in awe and in pain. He smiled and smirked bitterly and shake his head in disagreement. What is he supposed to do?

He felt his legs being a jelly. He was weak. He didn't knew it was coming. Much more that it was Mino; his friend. He hated it.

'Mino knows jennie is still banned from dating. What is he trying to do?' Hanbin got angry on the inside.

How will he be able to absorbed all this? Mino is also his closest friend but he had no idea about him liking jennie. Perhaps maybe he was just too reluctant not to know? Lots of realizations comes into his head.

They even go out together on trio. From such thought it strucks him already. Jennie was very caring towards Mino. Only he didn't pay much attention. One time when she went back from a visit to New Zealand she even bought him a bracelet. Hanbin was whining why he didn't get something from her. Jennie just teasingly laughed and said it was only a last item. Jennie promised he would gave him something when she gets back.

'Ah, stupid. Why i haven't noticed all that?', hanbin said to himself.

Mino is like his brother already. How is he supposed to compet with his own brother? They've been competing already in their daily lives for debut. Do they need to be rivals again for love?
He couldn't processed all of it and tried to recall their memories together about Mino liking jennie. But he couldn't even remember a thing. For all he knew, Mino was quite famous among female trainees. You can see them admiring him so much among the male trainees.

Hanbin get lost for a span of seconds and slowly realized they might see him standing there. He slowly turned his back on. Still in dazed. Blankly walking outside on the left sideway to the exit like a robot. He doesn't wanna hear what jennie would say. For him, that was already enough to just stop all his feelings towards jennie.
