Chapter 2

I landed on the ground and waited for Shay. He jumped down beside me.
"Where to first?"
"Let's check Cece's garden see if there's anything good."
He nodded his head and we went on our way. As we were walking we saw new tags. Shit. The Bloods covered up the Mid-City Killers tags. This isn't gonna end well. We kept are head down and kept walking. The guards were standing at their posts. Guns ready as always. We kept walking till we got to the alley behind the guard post. We climbed up the drainage shaft and pulled ourselves over the edge of the building. We walked to her garden and checked for the usual. All the carrots were gone but we got 10 potatoes. We put them in the bag and walked to the other side of the roof.

"Guards are busy. Go. I'll keep look out."
I took my bag off and backed and then ran to the edge of the building and jumped. I landed it with no room to spare. Shay then threw the bag to me. Shay gave me a thumbs up. Cost is clear. Guards didn't notice. I crept to the window and peaked in. The guard inside was asleep. I opened it cringing when it creaked. No movement. Still asleep. I lowered myself down. Holding myself to the window by my finger tips. When I stopped swaying I dropped. I turned to see if he woke up. No. Still asleep. I walked over to him and opened his pocket. I took the money out and put it in the bag. I then walked over to the cupboards. I got cans of tomato sauce and green beans. Then I got 3 water bottles and put that in as well. I looked around and there wasn't any more food. I walked back to the window and heard someone walk in. I threw my bag up on the roof and dove behind the shattered t.v. As soon as I got behind it they walked in.

"CAMERON!!! WHY ARE YOU ASLEEP!"
He jerked awake.
"I'm sorry boss I-"
"I. Don't. Care."
I peaked around the corner. Werewolf. Fuck I'm never getting out of here. I grabbed the radio I had. I muted it but made sure Shay could here what they were saying. But couldn't respond.
"Get your ass up.....NOW"
I saw him jump up and the table josteled and everything fell off.
I saw the werewolf walk over and grab him by the neck and throw him into the wall.
"Don't. Brake. My. Things. I SUPPLIED YOU WITH A JOB. AND YOU GO BRAKE MY SHIT"
Before he could respond he released him and then stomped on his leg. It snapped and he screamed. I could see the bone poking out. Then the front door flew open. But nobody was there. Thank you Shay.

"Guns up and ready. Shoot on sight. Cameron stay on my right flank. Gembi stay on my left flank. Stay 70 degrees behind me. Watch each other's six."

They walked out the door slowly and slammed it behind them. Then they locked it. I turned the radio off put it in my mouth and jumped to the ceiling. I pulled myself up and closed the window behind me. I put my bag on and put the radio in it and threw it over to the other roof. I then ran and jumped right as Shay was back on the roof
"Damn it Kat you scared the crap out of me."
"Yeah. Yeah. Just switch packs with me. This one's heavy."
He threw me his and I gave him mine.

He put it on and then a gun went off and I felt something wiz by my head. I dropped and Shay did to
"On the roof! They're on the roof!"
We ran and jumped to the nearest roof and then jumped off that one to the ground. We ran in there opposite direction. I heard guns going off but it wasn't near us. They got somebody else. We kept running though. About 15 minutes later I was dying of breath and we collapsed on the side of a dumpster.

It was getting late and the sun was going down. I stood up and backed up a step and a bullet went into the dumpster where I was just standing. We grabbed the bags and ran.
"Stop! Stop or we'll shoot!"
I laughed at that"you already did!"
We kept running and ran into a destroyed building.

We got through all the rubble easily and got out to the otherside. Then we saw the tags. Blood territory. And we're in the middle of it. Just then we saw David Williams walk out with 5 other guys. David pulled out a gun and held it up high. While the other 4 circeled us with bats, crowbars, and knives in their hands.

"Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn. How I've missed you baby girl."
"What the hell do you want David"

We used to run in the same circle when we were younger. We all survived together. Splitting all the money and supplies we stole or found. But then he turned on us. He became selfish and always looking for a fight. He started doing cocaine and then he got addicted. He then joined the Bloods to get a free supply. And he then shot our brother.

"I'll tell you what. I'll let you and your brother go if you suck my dick"
Shay balled his fists up.
"You won't come anywhere near my sister fuckward"
"Ohhhhhh you've gotten agressive Shay. You weren't like this last time I saw you. You were 14. And crying over your dead brothers body.
"Your a dead man David. DEAD"
"Not as dead as your brother."
He didn't. No way he just went there. I pulled Shay back.
"We're leaving now"
"I never said you could go. Yet. Suck my dick and id be happy to"
"Why don't you get you boyfriend to do it for you coño. He standing right there in the pink dress and hoop earrings. Oh wait. My bad that's your brother"
"Don't you talk about RICO."
He jammed the gun in my face and came closer. I then pulled out mine. To say he was suprised would be lying. He was confused and terrified. But mostly curious
"Now how'd you get a gun Kaitlyn. Who you repin. Crips, MS13, Mid-City Killers-"
"None of your damn buisness. But-"
I was cut off by gun shots. The guards got threw.
