three days later.

I haven't seen Johnny at all these past three days. My days consisted of waking up, taking a shower and staying inside.

Johnny told me to not give up and him not being here made it so hard not to think about my triggering decisions.

I looked down at my phone. No messages from Johnny. All my messages were delivered.

I sighed. I slept a little more before waking up hours later.
+
I decided to take a walk since my days have kind of been dreadful.

"Where are you going Kenz?" My mom asked. "I'm just going on a walk, I'll be back before 10:00." I smiled truthfully.

She smiled back, "Okay, make sure you have your phone on you."

I pulled out my phone and waved it around.

"Alright. I love you bye." She says before walking back into the kitchen.

I slowly opened the door. The air was a lot more warmer, but the sky was grey. I took a deep breath before walking up the street.

I heard voices of people laughing and screaming. As curious as I was I looked to the left of me.

It looked like more than at least ten girls and guys in a pool? One of their voices sounded a lot like Johnny's but I knew I was probably overthinking since I missed him so much.

"AHH! MELODY STOP!" A voice screamed. It sounded too much like Johnny's.

FLASHBACK.

"NOO! STOP!" He yelled.
+
Back to normal.
I took a closer look at all of them. They were from my school, and it looked like they were throwing a party I wasn't invited to.

That's not new..
+
The backyard fence opened. Johnny was laughing walking alongside a brown headed girl.

I pretended I was walking back towards my house hoping he would see me. I looked at him with the corner of my eye.

"Kenz?" Johnny called out.

I turned and looked at him as he ran the towel through his hair. "Oh, um hi Johnny." I said nervously.

He looked towards the girl. "Um this is my friend Melody. Melody this is Kenzie." He said introducing us.

I lightly waved. "Hi."

She just looked at me. "Johnny what is she to you?"

He looked at me. "She's um, like a friend." My face scrunched up. "Like a friend?" I asked. I shook my head. "Three days we don't hang out and you already forgot what I even mean to you?"

"It's been three days? Holy shit." He widened his eyes.

I shook my head. "Fifteen days Johnny.. Fifteen days. Maybe." I said walking away.
+
I heard quick footsteps coming closer to me. "Kenz." Johnny said holding his bag in his hand, his T- shirt soaked.

"What?" I asked just wanting to go home.

"I'm sorry okay? I didn't know how to react, I kind of freaked out." He said. "I get it, I wasn't invited so I'm not apart of your group, I get it, thanks for telling me." I said fake smiling.

"I'm sorry I didn't answer." He ran in front of me. "I had so much going on and then the party, look I know it's no excuse but you'd understand if you knew what was going on through my head at the time." He said desperately trying to make me understand.

I stopped.

"It's fine Johnny. Your friends are waiting for you." I said lowly.

"We're having a campfire tonight and I want you to be there Kenzie. They all know you." He said tired from running.

"Please just go." He begged.

"Okay.. I'll go?" I said rolling my eyes. "I'll pick you up at seven okay? Wear something.. um. I don't know summery?" He smirked.

"Whatever I wear is what I wear." I commented not caring. I started to walk towards my house.

Johnny grabbed onto my hand. "Melody is my friend. Okay?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "It doesn't matter." I said letting go.

Johnny's POV.
I watched her walk away. "Why am I falling for her more and more each time I see her, but she keeps pushing me away." I thought to myself.

Tonight will be different. Much different.
