The Marriage Contract

Living in Lies

     It's been a few months since the festival party incident happened. The Monster Hunters search high and low to find their Chief but to no avail. While in the monster world, Shen is also hunted by them. A little bird in which in the form of  Yezun, told the king that the future bride of the Dark Envoy is none other than the Chief of the Monster Hunter, Zhao Yunlan. The king messages Shen to come back with his bride. But to no avail, Shen never appeared nor message them. The king order his people to find Shen and Yunlan. If he resist, he will be arrested. No one crosses the king and live.

     In a secret part of the forest, there's a village for fairy folks. The people live there peacefully and welcome any stranger who needs help. Shen Wei bought Yunlan to live there. He lied to the fairies that he need to stay for a few days there, in order to heal his husband who is sick. The fairies gladly welcome them and gave them a sphere house, food and water. Shen thank them while carrying Yunlan toward the house. A small fairy boy take a glimpse at Yunlan. "Sir your husband is quite handsome like you, sorry to hear he is sick, maybe I could fetch a medicine in our village for him." He is about to fly, Shen stop him. "Thanks but we already have one here." So the fairy boy just nod and flew away.

     Shen place Yunlan on the bed. It's been few months or so. He tried to evade the hunters as well as his people.  Just for Yunlan, he needs a place to stay for his plan to work. He want to start a new life with him by his side. Suddenly Yunlan stir and slowly open his eyes. Looking on Shen Wei. " Where am I?  Who are you? Am I in heaven,  because your the most beautiful angel I see." Shen almost laugh in this situation, even in this kind of disaster Yunlan can make everything  seems bright. As he tried to sit up straight, Shen help him. Shen realize the spell is working perfectly. "My name is Wei,  your my husband, my dear Kunlun.  There's been an accident and you lost your memory." As he reaches the hand of Yunlan and kiss it. "Me? Kunlun your husband?" Yunlun repeated it like a doll while his eyes spark with blue light. The spell  made by Shen work, as he embrace him and fit a ring on Yulan's left hand.  Then  he interwined his left ring  hand to Yunlan right. "You are now mine Kunlun, we will never be apart."  Shen suddenly cry, as blood drops in his eyes ( a monster tears is red). " Why are you hurt?" Yunlun shocked to see blood spilling on Shen's eyes.  "No, it's alright Kunlun, I'm just happy." While Shen looking at him . Something was off, Yunlun think. He may lost his memory but not his instinct, he brush it off for a moment for his husband. He  wipe away the tears of Shen. While Shen close his eyes to feel Yunlan's hands on his skin. He never notice Yunlan descendent his lips to him.  He was shocked at first to react. " I'm  sorry I kiss you all of the sudden." Yunlan try to apologise, while laughing. Shen suddenly cup Yulan face and kiss him hard. He bit his lower lips to taste Yulan's blood. Yunlan moan while trying to stop Shen. "Ah, Wei that hurt." Shen has lost himself in kissing Yunlan senselessly, he can't hear Yunlan's plea. He pushed Yunlan to lay on the bed and made  passionate love that night. The mark shine brightly that night.

     Next day,  Yunlan  wake up in the afternoon with a sore body. He tried to sit up but his body aches everywhere. Shen help him while giving  Yunlan  a distasteful drinks in his mouth. "Are you trying to kill me." While shoving the drinks back to Shen. But Shen protest. " It is a good medicine for your body and sorry about last night I got carried away. You look so cute that night" While Shen's shy smile appeared. " You almost ate me last night,  maybe that memory lost of mine  is made by you too!" Yunlan angrily said. Something pierce in Shen's heart,   his face is about to cry,  he stood up and run towards the bathroom slamming the door. Yunlan tried to stand up, even his whole body sore. He knocks to the bathroom's door. " Wei, hey I'm sorry I got mad and said those  awful things, would you forgive me?" He heard sob at the other room. Yunlan will remember this day not shout at his delicate husband. Shen open the door and gave Yulan's his  medicine. "Here drink it all." Is Shen pouting at him? Yunlan tried not to laugh. "Okey, I'll drink it even it's poison." Shen pouting even more.  "Your doing it again." Yunlan made surrender sign and drank all the liquid. "If I didn't love you that much I won't drink these." Shen just kiss him on the cheek and smile.

     The next day Shen is about to go to the market place, Yunlan insist on going with him.  Shen made many excuses so that Yunlan might not come outside. "My pretty husband, I'm getting weary here and why can't I go out? I'm not sick just lost my memory. Don't worry I'll stick to you like glue." While kissing Shen's cheek many times. Shen have no choice but to say yes. "But before we go I insist on shaving your mustache and cutting your hair." Yunlan made a distance. "What! My handsomeness will decrease ten fold!" While holding his hair. " Look, I too would do that, we need to blend with the fairy folks here. Even without your mustache and long hair, your still my Kunlun. And beside I'll give you extra love if you permit  me to shave your mustache and cut your hair."  Upon hearing that Yunlan loose his hold on his hair. "Fine, I hope you stand by your words." As he gave Shen Wei the knife, a sinister smile appeared on Yulan's face. "Maybe I should not bargain with Yunlan?" Too late to notice that his bargain, gave Yunlan the advantage over him.
