Playing His Game

Chapter 2- Day one

Avery:

I was not expecting this one bit, usually the guys would choose someone who was easy or no offense to them but someone who was dumb. My latest target was not someone who was dumb in fact she was super smart and beautiful definitely not the usual type. I was staring at her from afar when they told me she would be my next victim.

"Hey man look there she is" Josh said nudging me in the side with his elbow

I spun around on my heels and felt myself smile inwardly at the sight of her. She rarely smiled but right now she was with her friend Megan I think and her own face had the hugest smile etched onto it. It was as if a force was tugging me towards her as I made my way over to her.

"Hi" I smiled to her

"You again" she grinned

"Yeah"

"So what do you want?" she asked looking past me and into the distance.

"You to go on a date with me" I smiled sweetly

"No" she said them walked away, I grabbed her wrist lightly bringing her back towards me

"Why not?"

"You don't just ask someone out on a date after knowing them five minutes"

"Fine then get to know me for a week then decide" I offered.

"Deal" what? I expected her to say no immediately, it looked like this was going to be easier than I thought but she was still going to be a challenge.

"So lets hang out after school then?"

"Whatever" she said before grabbing my hand and removing it from around her wrist before walking off with her friend.

I walked back over to Josh with a cocky smirk on my face and laughed as he looked at me with raised eyebrows.

"I've scored myself a date. Kind of"

"Kind of?" Josh asked

"A week to get to know each other and then she'll decide" I grinned

"You have this one in the bag this will be easy"

"I know man I thought this would have been more difficult" I grinned as a smirk worked its way onto Josh's face "What?"

"I can make it more difficult"

"How?" I asked curiously

"Make her prom queen" he grinned

"Prom is ages away!"

"Exactly, she is going to be getting to know you really well in these next few months" he grinned

"Challenge accepted" I said shaking Josh's hand

School was boring as usual the only bright part of my day was my next 'victim' she was different from the usual ones. Despite what the guys would say she was truly beautiful, such a natural beauty and that was very admirable but I could never tell the guys that. I had no idea how I was going to go about playing this whole game however there is one thing about me that everyone knows. Once Avery Whitlock is set a challenge he never ever backs down.

I made my way towards the parking lot smiling at the girls drooling over me, I mean that was great and everything but sometimes I got a bit creeped out. I made my way towards my motorcycle and jumped at the sight of Cassie leaning against it.

"Do I scare you that much?" she asked with raised eyebrows

"Uh no I forgot we were hanging out after school" I said scratching the nape of my neck
