Never Sometimes Always – Chapter Seven

"Are you busy on the eleventh of this month?"

Violet and Harry were currently unloading the shop into her refridgerator. She told Harry she can do it by herself since he's the guest, but in the short few weeks of knowing Harry she had an inkling that he would ignore her. He's quite stubborn.

"I don't think so. Why?"

"Would you like to be my date to my album release party? It's gonna be in Los Angeles so if you don't want to go I understand."

Violet looks at Harry shocked. "Los Angeles? In America?"

"Yeah," Harry says.

"I've never been out the country. How much are the tickets?"

"No, I'm paying."

"Harry –"

"I asked you. I'm paying. I just want you to be there with me."

Violet blushes and focuses on rearranging her canned goods. "You're not ashamed of me?"

Harry turns to Violet, who was shoving cans and mini wheats in her cupboard. "Why would I be ashamed of you?"

She shrugs. "I dunno. I, like, don't have fancy clothes, and I'm going to be meeting all of your friends...I don't wanna, you know?" She turns to him. "It's just a little odd, I think, being surrounded by a lot of rich people." Violet sighs before adding, "No offence."

Harry looked at her with a bit of confusion and embaressed look on his face. "Oh, sorry."

"No," Violet laughs softly. "I'd love to go. You'll just have to school me on rich people."

"Yeah?" Harry says with a smirk. "Not sure what I can teach you. All of my friends are pretty normal I reckon. James will be there and he's hilarious. I'll have to introduce you to him."

"James? Like James Corden James?"

"Yeah, you watch him?" Harry questions, propping himself up on the worktop.

Violet's mouth drops as she turns back to Harry, still with lima beans and cream of corn in her hands. "Do I watch him? What type of question is that? Of course I do. I love him! I would bare his children to be so honest."
