M- hey Ash, what's up?
A- nothin much, just got Luke to eat some toast
M- how is he doing?
A- as he was yesterday, skittish and scared, but in time if you and Calum can help then we can help him overcome any fears he has.
M- of course we will help, I mean we did a lot of the damage, and he deserves to have a better life. I just don't want to see him hurt anymore.
A- great, so give me a day with him to try and talk then one or both of you can come over and we can try to help him together.
M- cool, I'll let Cal know.
A- great, talk to you later.
M- bye.
* end of phone call*
Ashton's POV
Okay, that didn't go as bad as I thought it would, ok so now it's time to talk with Luke.
Hopefully...
*TIME SKIP*
Ok, Luke is done eating, time to try and help.
"Hey Luke, can we talk, bud?" I asked him. He answered " Sure."
"Can I ask, what happened when your mom was around?" Luke got scared then, "Woah easy there, I didn't want to scare you buddy, you know she isn't coming back right?" " I know, but it was rough with her around," He started," she would have boyfriends over and they would either get drunk or high and then abuse me and then go drink some more, I was always left in the middle of my bedroom floor sometimes bleeding sometimes unconscious it was always about how much she hit me around." I stared at him and felt my heart break, his mom abused him and then we never made it any easier at school. I really feel like I need to protect this broken teenager in front of me, even if it is the last thing I do.
Micheals POV
After I get off the phone with Ashton I go into my bedroom where Calum was brushing his hair. "Hey, what are you doing like tomorrow or Friday?" I ask him. Calum responds " nothing that I know of why?". I tell him that we're giving Ash a day or two to try and talk to Luke and get him to open up to us and if he doesn't then you and me were going to go and help him try and talk to Luke and fix things. Calum instantly agreed, " I really want to help him, he deserves to have a happy life and, we need to try and fix it because we caused a lot of pain for him." "That's what I said too." I told him.
